I do NOT recommend this place if your children are autistic!!! Worse experience I have ever been through with my child. I was suppose to meet with them today to let them meet my child before his next appointment with the anesthesiologist to put him under to get his teeth checked (I already told them they would have to put him under to look in his mouth and they were aware of that). He laid on their chair so well today and didn’t move or anything until they wanted to check his teeth, he just kept his mouth closed he didn’t even fight or show aggression (which is why he would need the anesthesiologist to put him under to be able to see in his mouth)…he has been under anesthesia at least five times before and the anesthesiologist has never had an issue with getting the mask on him all the other times; at other doctors. She said her team couldn’t handle a “big”kid like Zane to put a mask on him…she didn’t even want to try to see how he would do at the appointment next time. I could tell the moment she knew he wasn’t the “easy” kind of autism she didn’t want to deal with him because they kept calling and asking questions about him and canceled his last appointment! The medical field really needs to step up their game with autism definitely since there are so many children with it. I know they’ll come up with an excuse in a reply to this review…but wanted to share for other moms with kids who have special needs. Please take them somewhere that is more capable, understanding, and caring. Your kid shouldn’t have to be judged just for their needs.

I’m not someone who usually leaves reviews, but unfortunately I can’t let this one pass. I contacted the clinic for a routine check-up and cleaning for my 3-year-old daughter. We’re used to taking her to the dentist every six months, and even though it can be uncomfortable, she usually behaves well (as well as a 3-year-old can). The first dental assistant was lovely—patient, gentle, and fun. But when the dentist came in, she was clearly irritated and showed no sensitivity or skill when dealing with children. She asked for my daughter to be held down and, after some resistance, said it wouldn’t be possible to do the cleaning because she wouldn’t “stay still.” She then got up and left the room visibly annoyed. In the end, the first assistant was able to complete the cleaning calmly and without issues. The dentist did not say a single word to me—no feedback on my daughter’s oral health, nothing. She just scheduled a follow-up for six months later and that was it. I paid $300 out of pocket because we don’t have dental insurance, and I left with my daughter saying she never wants to see that dentist again. I truly believe that, since this is a pediatric office, you should hire professionals who actually like children and understand the challenges of working with them.

My first time bringing my daughter. Usually my wife brings her but my experience was actually awesome and I loved it. From the little river outside to the super respectful receptionist to the dentist herself. The best! I loved an appreciated everything an everyone. My daughter also loves this place and is super comfortable here, so thank you very much.

Kids Smiles has been both of my kids prefer dentist for years. They are very professional, caring, friendly and clean. The staff is very attentive starting with JoAnn on the front desk to Jess and Courtney in the back. We can tell that Dr. Lewis really takes pride in what she does. I highly recommend Kids Smiles!

The hygienist was very friendly and good with my son. However, I had to bring both my children with me and one child wouldn’t sit still and was all over the place and then my son wouldn’t open his mouth and the situation got a little chaotic and they said I should get child care for one child to make it easier next time. We could not finish the exam. It was very upsetting as I don’t have the extra childcare, if I did I would have only brought one. As a pediatric dentist I feel they should be more understanding. Other than that we usually always have a great experience.
