I can't say enough positive things about Kidz Academy Daycare. My daughter has been attending for over a year now, and I truly feel at peace knowing she's in such loving hands. The staff is amazing (all of them)—they genuinely care about her well-being and safety, and it's clear they want to see her grow and thrive. She’s made incredible progress, from knowing her alphabet (and not just singing the song but being able to identify letters out of order) to counting to 20 and recognizing colors, emotions, and shapes. Every day, they work with her to keep her learning and engaged. Thank you, Miss Stacey!
As a parent, I unfortunately can’t keep her home, but I feel so relieved every time I drop her off because I know she’s in the best care possible. She’s loved as much as we love her at home. The meals they provide are fantastic—two full meals and a snack—and I love that they document her entire day on the app, including potty reports, when she ate, nap times, and even pictures of her activities.
They also go above and beyond with special celebrations for the kids, like visits from Santa and the Easter Bunny, which make the experience even more fun and memorable. Recently, my two-month-old son started attending as well. Leaving him at this age was tough, but seeing how well he’s thriving with the staff has made it so much easier.
Any negative reviews you may come across aren’t a reflection of the incredible staff at Kidz Academy—they’re likely due to personal issues outside of the daycare itself. I would absolutely recommend Kidz Academy to any parent, and I would send my kids here again and again without hesitation.

My daughter is in the toddler class, and she specifically asks for her teacher by name on the way to school.
She has progressed so far with the love and care she is given by Miss.Stacey. I always look forward to getting to see Miss.Stacey to see how my daughter is doing and also how she is doing.
This is a difficult job dealing with so many personalities and so much self entitlement on how people perceive things without taking accountability. Not once have I ever been concerned for my safety or well being when my daughter is being cared for by Miss.Stacey.
We are so grateful to have a teacher who genuinely loves and cares for her students and my daughter being excited and comforted by Miss. Stacey when I leave for my day of school and work.
Thank you Miss.Stacey for everything you do like Stephanie said if we could take you home we would! 🫶🏻

Amazing center!!! I am a parent here and every teacher here has a heart of gold for each and every child! My kids love going to daycare everyday. The teachers always update the parents on brightwheel throughout the day with meals, activities, diaper changes/potty breaks, nap times and sends pictures which is very comforting as a parent to be able to see my child well taken care of and happy! 10/10 would recommend!

Unprofessional and Retaliatory Behavior at Kidz Academy
My experience with Kidz Academy has been deeply disappointing due to ongoing unprofessionalism, lack of communication, and retaliatory behavior from certain staff members, particularly Stacey.
The first issue arose on December 9th, when I initially reported to Melissa that my child was not eating breakfast. Following this, Stacey’s attitude toward me completely changed. I would speak to her daily, yet she refused to acknowledge me.
Then came the issue with my son’s allergies. When I brought up my concerns, I was given the runaround. On February 3rd, I spoke to Mrs. Vickie over the phone, who instructed me to simply write down my son's allergies and give the note to his teacher. When we returned to daycare two weeks later after being out with COVID, I asked Stacey for a paper to write down his allergies, and she responded with an extremely rude and unprofessional attitude. She aggressively handed me the paper as if I were bothering her.
Shortly after, I was informed that I needed to provide an Emergency Action Plan and an EpiPen, something that had never been mentioned before. I explained that the doctor would provide a letter, and I submitted it on February 27th. Instead of accepting it, I was given a hard time because it wasn’t on their specific form. I explained that I had to wait for a doctor’s appointment to get the required form, and as soon as I received it, I provided it.
On February 27th, my son came home with scratches all over his back and face. I immediately reached out, and Stacey insisted the scratches were there when he arrived that morning. However, I had checked him that same morning, and they were not there. A few hours later, the scratches had faded, which further proved they were fresh injuries received at the daycare.
Then, on March 4th, I received a text inquiring about my son's cough and runny nose. I informed them that it was due to seasonal allergies and that he had been given doctor-prescribed medicine. Despite this, I was told to come pick him up because I had “self-medicated” him—after Stacey took it upon herself to call Melissa and ask whether parents were allowed to medicate their children before bringing them in.
The issues continued on March 10th, when I was told my son had diarrhea and needed to be picked up. In reality, he had soft stool, which is not the same as diarrhea. When I tried to clarify this, Stacey once again became aggressive and accused me of being disrespectful. Another staff member, Nakaya, even admitted that she had similar issues with Stacey when it came to her own child. Additionally, Melissa claimed that I "don’t say much" when I come in—yet somehow, I was accused of being disrespectful. The contradiction is obvious.
My son’s last day at this daycare was March 13th. He only attended three days last week and none this week. This situation is not about late payments—this is pure retaliation, especially following my complaint to the state.
This type of behavior is unacceptable. This daycare has serious issues with professionalism, communication, and accountability. Cover-ups and mistreatment should not be tolerated, and I refuse to let this situation be ignored.
Parents, please be cautious before enrolling your child at Kidz Academy. If you want a daycare that prioritizes the well-being and safety of your child, this is not the place.

Disenrollment
Dear Tonya Ferguson,
I'm sorry that you feel this way. As I mentioned to you yesterday, the decision to disenroll your child was due to an outstanding balance of two weeks' tuition. Additionally, I made multiple attempts to set up a meeting with you, the teacher, the owner, and myself to address your concerns, but you were unable to make time for this.
Regarding the DHS report, they did return our call, and we provided all necessary paperwork, which confirmed that the concerns you raised were not valid.
As a parent concerned for your child's well-being, I would like to point out that it took a month to provide meds for your son's allergies. We had to insist that he could not continue attending without it due to the serious risk of an allergic reaction, which could have led to a tragic situation.
I encourage you to be mindful of how you present this situation, as the safety and well-being of all children in our care are always our top priority.
Sincerely,

Melissia Cooper
