Kidz Creative Corner on Western

Our kids went to KCC from 2021>2024 and the only reason we switched was because we moved last summer. The teachers there are the absolute best! Baby/Young Toddler Rooms (downstairs): It's so hard to leave your babies all day, but the KCC teachers honestly felt like family. It was like leaving my kids with a sister or aunt. They all loved my kids so much, and took such wonderful care of them when they were little. I'm pretty sure the main teachers in the baby rooms are still there (Lorena, Chey, Gloria Aliyah...) and we miss them all dearly!! Older Toddler/Preschool Rooms (upstairs): Again, the teachers they hire are wonderful and my daughter learned so much at KCC when she was 3-4. She started Pre-K this fall and most of what is being taught now, she already knows from her time at KCC. As the kids move up to the older rooms, the classrooms become a bit more structured and school-like, so when the time came for PreK, she was beyond prepared. She still talks about teachers she had 2 years ago! We were there during a surge of CPS hiring, so a lot of the teachers left to work in CPS schools, so the turnover in the upstairs classrooms was high during that time- but every new teacher they onboarded was just as great, so wasn't a huge problem. We're at a lovely daycare in the suburbs now, but KCC is one of the things I miss the most about our old neighborhood -- and the teachers are what made it so special.

Out of the numerous daycare tours we went on, Jenny and Olivia easily spent the most time with us to explain what we could expect from each room and age group as our baby grows. We were obviously anxious placing our 4 month baby into daycare, but all her teachers (Miss Farrari, Miss Daisha, and Miss Sydney) have been so sweet and supportive. Our daughter definitely gets a lot of love there and it’s so fun to see the various activities they do with the babies. We definitely appreciate the open communication and continuous updates throughout the day. Highly recommend!

KCC on western is the best! The center is clean and the kids are always having fun. My son comes home happy every day and loves all of the activities. The teachers communicate and send pictures with updates to the app. We are moving to the suburbs- which the only reason we are leaving KCC. Otherwise, we would be staying until he goes to pre-k! We couldn’t be more appreciative of Olivia, Jenny, and his teacher Aliyah. We will miss KCC !!

We've had two children at KCC Western starting from the infant room through Pre-K and had a wonderful experience. The teachers and staff feel like family, and provided a caring, educational and fun experience for our girls. I appreciate their organization and open communication in all aspects of their business and education plans. We love our KCC teachers and staff!

We found KCC when we moved from another area of Chicago. I was so sad to leave our prior daycare, but on our tour with Jenny, one of the Directors, we were excited to sign our son up. Jenny's energy and friendliness made us feel confident in our decision. Our son was 2 at the time with a baby on the way, and KCC helped our son with all the transitions that were coming his way with the move, and have helped him learn so much since then! We have loved our kids teachers. Even the teachers in rooms that our kids are not in, know who every kid is and talks to them all by name and with the same warm welcome as if they were in their class. All have been wonderful, but I cannot say enough good things about Miss Lorena, Miss Vaneza and Miss Cynthia. Each of them love our kids as their own, and it shows with every interaction. They go above and beyond with our kids (and all of the kids). I know how loved my kids are when they are here and how well taken care of they are. That is special. We also love that they get to spend a lot of time outdoors on their playground, going on walks, to the nature park, to the library, etc, along with soccer class, yoga class, tech club, music, and more. They have regular water play in the summer months and celebrate all the holidays and events. The facility is also bright with lots of windows, and having the the gross motor room for rainy days and other activities so the kids aren't stuck in one room all day. If I ever have a question or concern, everyone has been very responsive. We have been very happy being at KCC and look forward to continuing our time there.
