To begin with, this school has provided my son with a valuable education; however, their professionalism is severely lacking. I left my son here for educational purposes, and while their teaching is commendable, the unprofessionalism is unacceptable. For instance, one evening, Ms. Tori (THE DIRECTOR) disclosed personal details about another child's parents and their issues to me, my mother, sister, and aunt, which was highly inappropriate and unethical. Approximately two weeks ago, a teacher grabbed my son's arm. Before reviewing the camera footage, Jourdan told my sister that my son was lying and Tori told me he has a history of lying (HE's 5) However, the teacher admitted to grabbing his arm, and my son stated it caused him pain. Upon viewing the footage, showed the teacher walking from the far back right side to the left side, standing beside him, and then grabbing his arm. The act was obscured on camera because the teacher blocked the view, but they confirmed that was when she grabbed him. During this incident, Ms. Tori was unaware that I was on the phone with my sister and falsely claimed that my sister had threatened them, when I corrected this, her story changed. Furthermore, the staff gossips about parents and openly shares personal information with others. While I acknowledge my son has exhibited behavior issues, they tend to unnecessarily escalate minor matters. Although I cannot deny that the school provides excellent services their lack of is a significant concern. They often accuse children of misconduct but refuse to provide camera footage as evidence, citing privacy concerns for other children, yet they allow parents to walk to back the school where other students are present. Today, they expelled my son. Mr. Jones stated he swung back and hit a child. However, when I arrived at the school, they claimed he was walking by with his hand out and hit a young girl. Tori has lied countless times to my child's father, claiming that my child had been having rough days, yet no one informed me when I asked about his behavior daily. They are dishonest, and I will be filing formal complaints. In response to Ms. Tori's review response, you are simply not telling the truth! And if it was personal I would've never spoken on anything positive! I will NOT remove my review because everything I stated above is indeed true! Pull your records, and you can show the siblings YOU had there who had different moms but the same dad! Yes, you are correct as I mentioned above, my son had behavioral issues! Yes, I signed a behavior plan! Then OF COURSE you speak on Bright Wheel the app you went and deleted my entire account with everything in it. As I stated before I'm that parent that knows her child has behavioral issues and im going to address them EVERYTIME. Even if it meant leaving from work from Hacks Cross all the way to Ramil WHENEVER y'all called. I'm that parent! You are unprofessional, you are messy and you are a liar. I will not remove anything because again ITS ALL THE TRUTH! Oh and y'all NEVER MADE ANY REFERRALS… Every time you asked Jourdan IF she did she Stated “ Nawl, not yet!”

King and I learning academy has really been a a blessing to me and my family. I love this daycare because they treat my children like family. Their staff is amazing and very communicative about everything my children do. I have a son who is now in kindergarten that was told his penmanship was the best in class all because his teacher was intentional on helping them not only to learn but write as well. So if your looking for a well trusted, clean environment for your child I highly recommend.

We loved the daycare when we first found out about it. Everyone was so nice and welcoming and our child loved them! My employer offers partial childcare reimbursement, and in order for me to receive it, the daycare establishment would need to verify via phone that my child attended their school. I was told initially that this was ok and that they are used to these calls/emails often. My employer reached out multiple times and was unsuccessful with verification. When I spoke to the directors assistant, she told me that my employer did reach out and that she didn’t understand why they needed to know if my child attended and that it was private information… so she hung up without providing them any info despite knowing they were going to contact her. I was then told I’d have to write a letter stating I give permission for them to let my employer know my child attends. I complied. About a week later, we get notice that the weekly fee is going up because they’d forgotten to add the 3 year old fee or something of that sort….all of a sudden…once I begin receiving reimbursement. This, was extremely inconvenient and unprofessional. We withdrew our child from the school due to the rise in cost and once we placed our child in the new school, we’d been told that that the level of education based on age was not where it should be. Our child wasn’t learning what was supposedly being taught nor did they act as if they cared upon our child leaving. This experience was something that started out beautiful but ended up being a waste of time.

Mrs.Tori and her staff are very welcoming and professional. We were so thankful that she had an opening for both my toddler and infant boys! The facility is veryyyy clean. You’re able to follow along with the daily curriculum/activities for the children. Convenient location as well. My son loves to emphasize, “This is MY school!” We love and appreciate King and I academy!

My experience with King and I has been nothing but a great experience. I meet Tori a few years ago and instantly knew that she would be great for my family. I love that they actually care about our children. They are clean and very professional. They have a great staff as well. In my experience and my personal opinion King and I was the best choice for our family. Keep up the great work you guys rock!!!!
