Our son is currently at Kita and has been there for over a half year. We like Kita a lot for their playful engagement with the kids, for the many things they get to do both indoors and outdoors, and for the easy way we can interact with Katrina. The kids are allowed to play and interact with one another. They also sing, build things and create art. There’s a built in diaper service and there’s help with potty training. It’s a dual German English immersion program that helps our little one practice his fluency in both languages. We also got to know many of the other parents, which creates a real community around Kita. We cannot recommend Kita enough!

Our daughter was a part of Kita on Kains for 9 months before we left the Bay Area. All of the teachers and director Catrina are extremely competent, caring, patient, attentive to our child’s individual needs and growth, and just overall wonderful people! We were thankful to have found this “family” (even felt a bit like it - Catrina fostered community within the parents…we even ended up spending one of the vacation weeks with another Kita on Kains family). Highly recommend!

Both of my kids were at Kita from age 1 to 3.5, and they loved the Kita family and their friends. With my second kid, I didn’t even look elsewhere and went straight to Kita! Home environment with small cohort size really helps kids to socialize, and they provide good structure and attention to each kid. They have a nice outdoor and indoor balance in daily schedule, and do a lot of art and music which laid the foundation for both of my kids to enjoy painting, drawing, singing, and dancing. We don’t have German speaking home environment, but my kids continued to a German preschool (then to German K-12 for older one) and both were very well prepared for it. Preschool teachers were surprised at how fluent they were in German because we as parents don’t speak it. It’s also nice kids at Kita most likely continue to one of the two of the German preschools in the area, so they have some friends moving up. I highly recommend Kita for families looking for a warm home environment filled with outdoor play, art, music, and dual-language daycare.

Our daughter has been at Kita on Kains for almost 1.5 years and we couldn't be happier with our experience. Catrina and Jason have provided excellent care in a German immersion environment. They foster language development, independence and play based learning. We have seen our daughter's personality develop in the best ways and much of that is from her time spent at Kita. Most importantly, Catrina and Jason allow the toddlers to be toddlers and have fun while also instilling confidence, creativity and collaboration. And given the climate over the past year, they have weathered Covid and its daycare protocols safely and with compassion. We are grateful to be part of the Kita on Kains family!

Our son has been at Kita on Kains for about a year.
From the start of the experience, Catrina and Jason provided guidance, understanding, support and flexibility for us.
Being new parents, my wife and I, like most new parents had the anxiety and fear of handing your child to someone else, however; Catrina and Jason provided excellent care and most importantly advice on how to help with the transition to provide what was a painless and as close to ideal of a transition a new parent could ask for.
Our son has blossomed socially and mentally due to the German immersion environment.
His language skills have increased and his independence has grown.
Their play based learning has been great for our son's development.
As my wife and I are both working parents, Catrina and Jason have gone the extra mile to provide my wife and I with as many possible options to accommodate our work schedules within reason to allow us to be productive yet give our son the support he needs.
We are grateful to be part of the Kita on Kains family and grateful for the involvement of Catrina and Jason in the development of our son's early stage of his life.
