La Petite Academy of Glen Allen

We have sent our kids to several day care/preschools over the years and have had uneven experiences at many of them. This La Petite Academy has been far and away the best of the bunch. 1. It starts with great leadership - the director is extremely welcoming to everyone but also super organized with very high standards for her staff. The meals for instance aren’t typical pizza/chicken fingers but home cooked/high nutrition. 2. Across the board the teachers are excellent, loving and extremely hard working. They also have minimal turnover among the teacher leads- several have been there for the more than 8 years we’ve attended. 3. The baby room in particular is top notch. It’s run by Miss Judy who has been there 10+ years and is a saint but also runs the place like well oiled machine. They are very helpful getting them on a routine, etc. 4. The JK class/teacher is maybe the best in Richmond. Ms Tamika is single-handedly responsible for why both my kids being able to read well before Kindergarten… and with one of my kids not even knowing all the letters when he started in her class! We were shocked how much he progressed in her class. 5. The parents /staff do several fun events throughout the year that helps make the school a truly unique and welcoming place for folks. The facilities are not the best, especially parking but that doesn’t make a school great. No school is perfect - but this one comes close. We highly recommend it.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ What a wonderful place for kids! 🧡 We had the pleasure of bringing our Bubble Show to La Petite Academy, and it was pure joy! The kids were engaged, happy, and full of excitement. We’re already planning to return soon with our Paper Party and Science Show! The staff is incredibly kind, caring, and responsive — just talk to them, and you’ll see how much they love what they do. Watching the kids interact with their teachers was truly heartwarming. Highly recommend this academy!

We've had two of our little ones go through the La Petite Experience with Ms. Pam, and this place has been fantastic. It's a house of love and support for our littles, and the educational experience for our girls was off the charts. Highly recommended!

La Petite has blown me away with the curriculum, compassion, and care the team demonstrates every day. A dream come true. Our child has gone to day cares that have bigger, more impressive buildings. But that is beyond irrelevant. They keep parents in touch all day long with whats going on. You can tell its a tight ship. They want their kids to go places, and you'll find that they have a track record of it they take pride in. Our son has a blast and enjoys school now, and loves his teachers. We do too.
