We really enjoy having our daughter at La Petite! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and communicative about her care. I also greatly appreciate the varied activities they do in the classroom and additional enrichment opportunities.

I would rate this place higher than five stars if I could. All 3 of my daughters have attended La Petite, and I’ve not had a single negative experience. The staff is fantastic. I love receiving updates throughout the day, including photos, videos, and educational/social lessons. This isn’t just a daycare, it really is focuses on education, and it’s a nurturing environment that does a great job giving kids the chance to be social. I would absolutely recommend this place to anybody!

We enrolled our daughter here at 6 months; she's now 2. We have been completely pleased with our experience with La Petite. The teachers all demonstrate incredible care and dedication. They've partnered with us as our daughter transitioned from bottles to table food, and now as she begins potty training, in ways that compliment the methods we're using at home. She has severe peanut allergies and I have complete confidence in the safety (and nutritional quality!) of the food and environment, as well as in the staff's training to respond, should something unexpected happen. I work for UI so I also appreciate that they follow UI's emergency closing schedule rather than the more-frequent public school closing schedule. We regularly see La Petite teachers out and about in Iowa City and our daughter loves seeing them, giving them hugs and high fives. It's clear that the teachers at La Petite care about the work they do and the ones they care for. Highly recommended!!

We have a 2 1/2 year old daughter that we enrolled at La Petite when she was 2 months old. Everything about the facility was great, we really had no complaints. But at age 2 we switched her to another very reputable facility to save some money. After we had changed facilities we noticed that she was not learning as much and she was not as well behaved as she used to be.
So at 2 1/2 we switched her back to La Petite and the changes were almost instantaneous. We noticed a change the very first day she came home. She was more well behaved, temper tantrums decreased significantly and learning has picked up again.
One of the things we had been working on her with was to become potty trained and within two weeks La Petite she has made tremendous strides.
I would highly recommend La Petite to anyone. They might cost a little more, but you get what you pay for.

We enrolled our daughter at 4 months and she is now 2 1/2. I love to tell everyone that she is enrolled at the Academy (when she has not started school yet :)).
I have been really happy with the care received here.
All my concerns have been heard and dealt with in a caring and professional manner. I am raising a bilingual child and the teachers offered to learn some non-English words to help and comfort my daughter when needed. We made HUGE progress in potty training and overall behavior because of that. Thank you LPA!
