La Petite Academy of Raleigh - Pleasant Pines

My son has been going to this center for roughly 6 months and we are so glad we decided to place him here! Ms. Kim and Ms. Tarika are great, always over-communicating with parents. I appreciate the consistent teachers in each classroom, but for early drop-off he is sometimes with other teachers and they are all so kind and you can tell they truly care. Ms. Maya, Ms. Nazia, Ms. Brenda and Mr. Tay are excellent! I love the app that the teachers use and the consistent updates throughout the day. My husband and I toured many daycares and the school certainly exceeds everything my husband and I wanted for childcare and I highly recommend.

I am deeply concerned about the care and safety of children at La Petite . On November 7, 2024, I had an alarming and frightening experience when one of the teachers, Liv Huggins, attempted to physically attack me and made threats while I was picking up my child, Shiloh, from daycare. I had to call the police to ensure my safety and the safety of the other children still in the classroom. At the time, I was holding my child, which made the situation even more distressing. Additionally, I’ve raised multiple concerns about my child’s emotional well-being. Shiloh was often left sitting and crying with little to no engagement from the staff. When I tried to discuss these concerns with the facility, I was ignored or met with unprofessional attitudes. My complaints have not been addressed, and I have seen no effort to resolve the issues affecting my child's care. I am filing a formal complaint with both the state and the corporate office, but I wanted to share this experience in hopes of warning other parents. If this is the standard of care at La Petite, I would not recommend it to anyone. Safety, respect, and proper care should always be a priority, and sadly, I did not see any of these things here.

I can’t say enough good things about this location & Ms Kim/Ms Tarika I have been through several centers with my oldest and no one else has tried to work with us to help him with some behavioral issues like they do. I truly feel like they care about the children and I couldn’t ask for a better place to put both of my children!

As a new mom I was pretty particular about looking for a place that I could trust my first born with when he was 12 weeks old. I also wanted a place that was convenient to my commute, flexible with my schedule, and reasonably priced. Its been a year now and I'm so glad I found this place! The staff is wonderful and provides a "feel at home" atmosphere. Also the director Farrah is great! She is very personable, accommodating, and easy to communicate with. I'm happy with our decision to enroll our son at La Petite and would recommend to another family!

Adding to my review that I made two years ago. This center is still by far the best that I have been to. They are so accommodating and work with my crazy schedule. The office staff and teachers are so kind and understanding and are amazing with my son. I will recommend this daycare to all of my friends still. I have to say I was very impressed with this daycare center... I called and spoke with Angela, the center director and she was the most friendly, down to earth person. She was able to give me a tour on short notice at 3:30 in the afternoon. Most daycare centers won’t do that.... They always try to make an appointment with you which leads me to believe they are hiding something... I like the fact that I was able to just walk in and see the place. Angela was so easy to talk to and she made me and my son feel so welcome. This is the first daycare that my son will attend so I wanted to find the best. My son will start full time this coming week at this center. I had to however call La Petite to see if they could take him on an emergency drop in one day this week because his grandmother was not feeling well and I had to find a place last min. They were so fast to invite him for the day! When I picked him up he was in the best mood and it looked like he had a great day! I cannot wait until my son starts here full time and I would 100% recommend this daycare! Thanks again Angela for all of your help it really means a lot to my family!!
