I truly hoped I wouldn’t have to leave a review like this because I enjoyed the vibe of the facility for my son however right is right and things that don’t make sense don’t make sense and that’s just the way it goes! LA PETITE ACADEMY on WT Harris Blvd truly played with me. first: parents receive an email alerting of a COVID outbreak ! Yet no follow up email was provided with at least a little assurance that things have improved since receiving the alerting email. So I had no choice but to keep my son out of the facility even though it made my schedule harder as I work full time and I was relying on this place for the afterschool program. When I called a week ago to find out an update on the outbreak /to inform that I would rather not send him back due to no update and to inquire about when the summer program was going to begin so I knew that he was finished at the facility for regular school days (because my son is not enrolled in their summer program and their school- age program was closing due to not having enough children) I was given a vague response about how I was obligated to still pay the week in full. I then informed them that he graduates on the Monday coming so I asked “why would I need to pay if your facility won’t even be visiting his school any longer due to graduation happening Monday?” The response I was given: you didn’t give two weeks notice and it’s in the handbook. I am very professional but the way I looked at them through my phone and wanted to say “Girl bye!” I have never heard of a more greedy facility!! Your program is closing and you want a full week’s worth of my hard earned money for what exactly !? If the company needed a donation I really rather they had just said that. A little friendly reminder of having to give 2 week notice would have been commendable as well especially knowing a student just got to you this school year and wouldn’t fully know all the policies in place like the back of their hand. I just really wanted to write this review to bring awareness that you need to read and become FULLY knowledgeable because this place will smile in you and your child’s face and take advantage of you when they see an opportunity to. Be careful choosing and I am glad to be finished with them.

My son had a great time here, and made a lot of friends even after only one week. He had no issues adjusting to the class (I don’t think he missed me at all!). The director, office staff, and teachers were all so nice and welcoming.

Eww!! This place still smells and looks the same as it did back in 1990 when I use to go there. I’m surprised they didn’t tear it down like they did the old Hardee’s next door. I went in LaPetite two months ago to pick up my god daughter and was rudely greeted (at least the director Ms. Reena and then Ms. Tracey way back in the early 90’s we’re actually warm and wholesome to ppl). The floors and the yellow walls were the same like they haven’t been touched since the day I stopped going there in the summer of 1994 when I was in the day camp program there. The back classroom where the superstars (elementary after school program) use to be, the ceiling looked like it was about to cave in. Please you all, it’s 2025, there’s no way my Alma mater, La Petite should look and smell exactly like it did all those years ago, it was a nostalgic smell and look, but at the same time I was hurt that it hasn’t been updated and didn’t smell fresh (and I’m not talking about the baby rooms smelling).

Our daughter just started kindergarten after spending over 2 years here. The location is within walking distance of our home and the university where my wife is studying for her doctorate, making it extremely convenient. Given the exorbitant cost of daycare these days, La Petite Academy provided an exceptionally safe, caring and inclusive environment at a very reasonable cost. We would strongly encourage anyone in the area to consider this location as a wonderful place for their young ones to learn and grow. We have no doubt that our daughter's experience here played a vital role in preparing her for the next phase of her life, and beyond. Big hugs and great thanks go to Ms. Jambee and the entire staff of La Petite on Harris Blvd.

This place was so awesome! LaToya and Africa are so amazing!!! Always was positive and will always stay in my heart! My daughter have learned so much from them! But moving her to another class 4 year old room was the biggest mistake that I could ever do! My daughter came to me and told me that her teacher had put her hands on her. It hurt my heart that a place that I loved and trusted would let this happen. I never got a follow up call. I never heard back from any body or anything thing. This place is full of people that know each other and look out for each other! So your child concerns means nothing if it’s somthing negative about one another!! If your kids stay sick here! It’s because they don’t clean!!!!!
