My children have been attending La Petite academy since 2020 and we love it here. Ms Natalie, Ms Katelyn and the entire staffing team are patient and understanding. My kids attend after care program which is great. The classrooms are clean and organized. I would definitely recommend.

IF YOU WANT UOUR CHILD TO ACTUALLY LEARN, THIS ISNIT THE SCHOOL March 11, 2025 at 5:55 PM My son is currently a student there and I am considering removing him from the program. When he first started, I was having finance issues. Natalie, the director, was extremely understanding and patient with me regarding payments. I am paying full tuition with no ELC. At this time it is hard but I am making it work. My son is 4, in VPK. As he began bringing home homework, I realized that everytime we began the work, he had no knowledge of anything. Meaning I was indeed teaching him myself. For instance, he'd come home with letters to trace, and rewrite. He had literal melt downs as I am telling him to do the work, even helping him but he had NO CLUE AS TO HOW TO WRITE THE LETTERS. So l started watching the cameras more, and my oh my. As I started to watch, l'd see the kids playing all day with little to no interaction with the teachers. I began mentioning this to Natalie and the teachers. The response was, "they learn through play". I'm asking how does four children playing together on a carpet, or with a kitchen set, or whatever is actually teaching them. The reply was, "he is learning motor skills and how to interact and socialize with others.. Huh? He's 4, about to be five in less than two months... motor skills? I had to teach my son how to write his name. It is 3 letters They have a program called "spotlight on They have a program called "spotlight on phonics". If you pay an additional $18 per week, your child can actually learn. Yes you heard me, if you pay your child will be pulled out of class with the other student's and taken to a separate area where he is actually learning. Smh. This is super bothersome because I am barely able to make the weekly payments without the ELC. Of course I want my soon to be 5 year old, learning things. But if I don't pay the extra he can't not learn unless o teach him. This isn't even the bigger issue. As I mentioned before, Natalie was super understanding and patient with me. But the moment I started to complain about my son not actually learning anything during the 8 hours just playing, all day… I began being hit with late fees. I pay an extra $120 per month in late fees. I am paying on the same schedule I have been paying before. But now I pay extra because it's considered already late when I pay (pay it all each week, just at the end and not at the beginning). They say one has nothing to do with the other, but it's too much of a coincidence that am now being charged fees consistently only after complaining about the curriculum. Overall, they need to work on actually teaching these little young, bright developing minds. There should not be an extra charge for your child to learn when at daycare and especially in VPK. I must include that after all of this I have noticed a huge difference in my child as far as knowing some of the things sent home for homework. I believe my complaining actually worked a bit and they are now actually have them learning for a bit instead of playing the entire day. Still, all of these VPK students should be learning, not just the children in the "spotlight on phonics”. consistently only atter complaining about the curriculum. I truly like some of the staff. I hope this helps someone

Both of my children are thriving here. Love having access to the cameras, updates, and photos through the app. Our children love going to school and have learned so much in conjunction to what we do at home.

My children have been going to La Petite Academy for almost 3 years. My 3 year old is there daily and my 6 and 8 year old do drop in during the school year. The entire team has been truly amazing. They communicate everything and it is comforting to know what is happening. I don’t watch the live video of my child because I know she is in good hands. They have been amazing and have also helped my children grow. When I first inquired about daycare for my child there was a wait list, which was expected because they are truly amazing. I have not had any negative experiences here at all and I would recommend this place over any other in St. Lucie County.

My twins have been going to La Petite for a year now and we couldn’t be happier. There’s something to be said about being able to drop off your little ones with complete confidence that they’re in good hands. Special shout out to Miss Mary and Miss Flora. I love seeing my girl’s faces light up when they see them! The staff is also super friendly, and the director Natale always has a smile on her face and genuinely seems to care about the kids as well as the parents. She’s always listened attentively whenever I have anything to talk to her about. Highly recommend this place for childcare.
