L'Academy Language Immersion Preschool & Infant Daycare Redwood City

My son attended Lacademy for two years (2022 / 2023). His Mandarin and ability to adopt other languages has proven to be exceptional. The staff was nothing short of incredible - caring for our son's every need and creating an environment where he could flourish and develop the social skills he was lacking as a Covid baby. His teachers still keep in touch with us a year later, just wanting to check in on him and his little brother. Berni, Ashley, Yvonne, and Ying are truly wonderful. We would recommend Lacademy to anyone in need of reliable educators who truly care for and want the best for their children and family. PS they also do (did) parents night out - which allowed my wife and I to go out to dinner while our son played with his teachers and friends. This was huge for us having just moved to the area with few friends and no family nearby.

It's our daughter's first pre-school and she learnt a lot during her stay at L'Academy. Teachers took care of her so well and she really loves each of them. She learns both Chinese and English here and made many friends there!

L'Academy was the best school for our kids to start their learning journey (they were both previously at home). Both our children attended for about two years and it was truly a nurturing and enriching environment. We loved the balance between Chinese and English education during circle time, story time, and activities. Our kids were exposed to both languages in such a fun and natural way. The creativity and thoughtfulness of the curriculum was also very apparent, including arts and crafts, music, games, and learning through play. Beyond the language immersion, what really stood out to us was the sense of community and care. The school really felt like home, and we could always count on the teachers to be there for both our kids and us. We can't recommend L'A enough!

Yesterday was our daughter’s last day at L’Academy. Our daughter already started missing her school, so do we. She started with L’Academy when she was barely 2. She grew out as a whole person of caring, curiosity, brave and politeness now. Over the past 2.5 years, L’Academy always impressed us with fun and interactive events, e.g. Halloween trunk&treat, Holi, reading books with parents, and many more. Particularly, we were impressed with their preschool graduation ceremony. Nevertheless, one of the can’t miss event is “parents night out”. What a relief for parents :), and kiddo also enjoyed night hanging out with her classmates. My little one loves her teachers as much as her teachers expressed their love to Eileen. Ms Ying, Ms Ashley in dragonfly (3s class) are still Eileen’s most loved teachers, and hug and kiss bye everyday. Ms Yvonne, Ms Alyse and Ms Monica in butterfly (4s class) taught with all rich knowledge that impressed us everyday. Ms Berni is always there with strong and timely support. We highly recommend L’Academy Redwood City without any doubt.

Our daughter has been going to this daycare since she was 18 months, and we've seen her grow so much. She's now 3, and thanks to the caring teachers, she's learned a lot and has become more independent. They even helped her with potty training! What's more telling is how much she loves it there. Every morning, she's eager and excited to go to school. There are lots of fun activities: meeting police officers and firefighters, celebrating festivals from different cultures, family picnics, etc. In addition, the daycare provides freshly cooked lunches, which is a big plus for a working mom.
