L'Academy Language Immersion Preschool & Infant Daycare Santa Cruz

Both of my children have been attending this daycare since they were 1 year old, and we couldn’t be happier! The staff is caring, attentive, and always makes sure the kids feel safe and loved. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing they are well taken care of every day. My little ones have learned so much and always come home happy. I highly recommend this daycare to any parent looking for a warm and nurturing environment!

My daughter loves L'Academy! She started in the infant classroom when the school was transitioning directors and just shortly after covid restrictions were easing. The kids were really well cared for and had lots of enriching activities. My kid really bonded with her cohort and has remained good friends with some of the kids that remained in the program. The school had a transition period where the new director was implementing changes and there was some shift in teachers and curriculum. In my opinion the school has improved greatly since. My daughter really bonded with the teachers in the toddler classroom and we loved both teacher Drea and teacher May. They helped us through the potty training phase every day and made sure that our daughter was excited about coming to daycare---dance parties, yoga, and circle time were big favorites at this stage. We are now in the preschool classroom and we can see our kiddo practicing more Spanish everyday. Their curriculum has been fun and enriching with arts, music, reading, and lots of play time. One of the things that I really enjoy about this preschool is how community oriented they are. The director makes sure that there are opportunities for the families to be involved and to feel welcomed. We have had potlucks, cultural appreciation month, halloween parades, etc. It has been such a great way to meet other families. I guess my final vote of confidence is that we are enrolling our second kid there as soon as possible!

Our son started at L'Academy Language Immersion Preschool in Santa Cruz when he was just over 12 months old, after we unexpectedly lost our nanny. We were initially nervous about the transition, but he has adjusted incredibly well. He naps without any issues, engages in a variety of activities and crafts that he genuinely looks forward to, and has been thriving in the loving environment. The attention to detail is outstanding. We've never had to worry about diaper rashes, and the modern app they use is such a comfort—it keeps us updated in real time. We know exactly how much and what he's eaten, all diaper changes with specifics, when sunscreen has been applied, how long he’s napped, and we even get fun photos and videos of his day. The teachers are fantastic! Our son absolutely adores them, and it’s clear how much they care for him. He gets so excited when he arrives, and sometimes he even cries when it's time to leave, which speaks volumes about the great environment they've created. On top of everything, the price is reasonable, and they provide high-quality, healthy snacks, milk, and meals, so we never have to worry about his nutrition. We couldn’t be happier with our choice, and highly recommend L'Academy to other parents!

My daughter is in the toddler class. In the short time she has been there her vocabulary has improved! She is talking and singing more. I was worried she was a bit delayed in speaking since we speak Spanish and English at home but her class does too! That is one of the things I was looking for when choosing a preschool for her. I love that they integrate academic curriculum and not just play based. A wonderful place for kids to learn and have fun! The staff here is wonderful and super helpful! Can’t wait to see how much my daughter will get to grow here in the coming years!

Best, simply the best daycare we have been in these 8 years of raising children. Lanie is an amazing director, and all the teachers are so good with the children. The care is amazing, lots of art, music, projects that have developed our child and on top of that, she has started understanding and saying words in Spanish.
