Lakeside Day Care & Pre-School

I have been a Lakeside parent since 2017. There was a lengthy wait list, but it was important to my husband and I that our kids attend a faith-based daycare. My seven year old started Lakeside in the baby room at one year and my almost four year old started in there at 9 months. They were very well cared for and loved from day one. The communication about my child's day and care was clear and was as much or as little as I sought. As they progressed through the toddler classes, they learned appropriate academic skills and social skills to begin preparation for the structure and routines that would be required in school. Once upstairs in the preschool classes, both kids thrived. They were excited about learning and loved going to school each day. And they love(d) their teachers like family. They developed positive friendships there, got to experience fun outings and field trips, and participated in sweet holiday performances and graduation ceremonies. Lakeside overly prepared my son for Kindergarten success and my daughter, currently in a three year old preschool class, is on her way to being more than ready. The after-school program provides a safe, fun space for my son to decompress after his school day, socialize with friends, and do his homework if he chooses. And I'm thankful that they develop fun-filled days of meaningful activities for school-aged kids on teacher workdays and breaks from school. I feel that the rates are comparable and fair to other facilities. Any questions/concerns I have had are always addressed in a timely, professional manner.

After staying at this daycare for my sons first year we are leaving with a sigh of relief, especially in light of recent studies confirming our concern for screen time. He was in the 6 weeks to 18 month room(yes, that's really the span) where he was placed in front of the TV for multiple episodes daily, despite our polite disagreement with this policy and request for him to be put elsewhere when it is on(which was only heeded for 1 week). They did not have any form of accountability for the amount of screen time they were exposing the infants to, and the director refused to do anything to hold her staff to their already unhealthy policy. Furthermore the baby room class did not go outside one time while he was enrolled... Unfortunately, these are just a few of my complaints which range from the back doors being wedged open to the very poor diet. I have heard really good things about their older children's programs, but I would be wary to enroll any child under 2 at this facility. They will not respect your suggestions. Our daughter has been going here for almost 2 years now. She has improved very well in letters and learning her numbers. The staff is extremely personal and grow to know you. They take excellent care of the kids and its a place you feel comfortable as a parent to leave your kids at for the day.

My daughter loves it here! The teachers are kind and care about the kiddos. The administration are helpful and are wonderful people to deal with. If I was a kid, I’d want to go to this daycare. Thank you!

My daughter has gone here for 2 years now and I have had other family come through as well. They are truly an amazing staff and the very best around. Recommend 10/10!
