Our child started attending LAMP Irvington right after we moved to the U.S. when he turned three. It was his very first preschool experience, and we were naturally concerned about the language barrier and the big transition. But thanks to the care, attention, and thoughtfulness of the teachers and staff, he adjusted smoothly and now looks forward to going to preschool every morning with a big smile. He has even made a best friend, and it’s been heartwarming to see him learning, playing, and sharing with other children. We truly appreciate how the school understands each child’s unique personality and needs, offering guidance that feels tailored and supportive. The daily feedback we receive during drop-off and pick-up is always gentle, insightful, and reassuring. If you're looking for a safe, nurturing, and thoughtful preschool environment, we wholeheartedly recommend LAMP Irvington.

Within these last 4 months my son has had a horrible experience with one of his prek teachers ms Asha in room 2. There has been several incidents (5 to be exact) with this teacher to the point my son was scared to be in the same room as this teacher. Crying constantly that he doesn’t want to go to school because of this teacher and that he wants to change schools. Thank god he goes to kindergarten in august and will be moving to a real school. I have sat there and seen firsthand how miserable this teacher is there she’s rude, extremely unhappy, she is always yelling and ignores the kids when they ask for help. When it was addressed to the front office they just said they will speak to her but nothing ever changed. Ms grace was arguing with my son while he was crying yelling at him ms Asha isn’t mean and she didn’t do anything to you. Which was just ridiculous. How these teachers treat there students is very disappointing. Ms Asha and ms grace should find a new career path. Ms Julia was the only teacher me and my son loved. I would recommend staying away from the Irvington location so many other things I can list but won’t just save yourself a headache.

I absolutely loved this preschool! The entire staff is so patient and involved, making sure both parents and children feel comfortable from day one. Miss Tasha (the director) is incredibly present and has done a fantastic job selecting the right teachers. My children, ages 5 and 2, have been so happy at school that they never want to come home! The teachers are deeply committed not only to academics but also to listening to parents’ concerns. It’s such a warm and nurturing environment that I always felt at ease leaving my kids here. Miss Rakhi, Miss Ragini, and Miss Razia have been amazing—welcoming us every day with big smiles and warmth. They are always professional, attentive, and truly dedicated to the kids. Seeing them each morning reassured me that my children were in the best hands. My kids’ teachers created a safe and enriching space where they made new friends and learned so much. My 2-year-old already knows so many songs and the ABCs, while my now 5-year-old is doing addition! Compared to other preschools, this one stands out as an exceptional blend of academics, nurturing care, fun, and safety. We only had to leave because we moved to a different city. My daughter just started at the Irvington location, everyone from the staff to the teachers are wonderful and so kind. They have welcomed us with open arms, are very accommodating, and respond promptly. They keep me informed on day to day changes right away and facilities are always clean and full of learning for the children.
