Let’s Be a Kid Childcare Center

Let’s Be a Kid Childcare Center is amazing! The staff is so kind and caring, and they really make each child feel special. They took really great care of my son during his first few months at daycare since it was his first time at one. The staff made the transition smooth and seamless. My son is always excited to go and comes home happy and full of fun stories. The communication with parents is great too—we always feel in the loop. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a safe, fun, and loving place for your child!

Our daughter has been going to LBAK Childcare Center since she was 3 months old and she is now 4 years old. The staff are caring, have clear communication with the parents and foster a safe and nuturing enviroment for all of the children. They also create engaging activities for infant, toddler and pre-school development. LBAK is a welcoming and inclusive environment that fosters a sense of security and belonging for all families.

We've had our child enrolled in Let's Be a Kid for almost 2 years now. The teachers and administrators are kind, caring, and amazingly communicative. My child comes home every day talking about her "best friends" and how much fun is had, yet I see the immense learning leaps she is taking. I can't imagine a better learning environment for young children!

My son has attended LBAK since October and he has BLOSSOMED. Some of this is aging, i know, but folks at the daycare--all of them--have really helped him become a confident, curious, loving little human. I cannot imagine taking him out of Let's Be a Kid before he ages out. In addition to the staff, we really love that J gets a healthy, varied diet and playtime outside.

I know each person's experience is unique, and I hope to leave a positive review that can counteract any negative experiences left by other reviewers, as I was saddened to see a recent negative review which has completely NOT been our experience. This is also updated on my review left previously for the Rhudy St location: Our 22 month old daughter has attended Let’s Be A Kid daycare since October 2023 (at points at both location, the smaller Rhudy Street and the larger/newer Dill Road), and we have been so happy with our decision to enroll her here. Ms. Walker and her entire staff are so caring for the kids and provide a great balance of creativity and independence along with structure/routines needed at the younger ages. Our daughter benefits quite a bit from being one of the slightly younger kids in the toddler room, as she’s been given opportunities to “step up” and learn many new things a bit sooner. Partly credit to her as an individual but also huge credit to the Let’s Be A Kid staff! As a few examples, since 18 months old they’ve had our daughter already consistently practicing potty training (aiming now to be fully trained by 2! Wouldn't have been possible without LBAK's support); she also frequently comes home telling me her numbers, days of the week, months, or any number of other things that I know I didn’t teach her! For not even being two years old yet, she’s talking quite a bit in full sentences and having great comprehension, which is supported by the learning she does at daycare during the weekdays. She’s also built great routines when it comes to hygiene, cleaning up, and more. We experienced both facilities to be clean, tidy and well managed. The Dill Road location in particular is nearly brand new, with a beautiful kitchen where healthy meals are prepared every day for the kids. Whenever our daughter has shown signs of illness or not acting like herself, the LBAK team is quick to contact us - in our experience, there's been an overcaution versus under-caution when it comes to illness (not a bad thing); it's a daycare so some germ spread/runny noses are unavoidable with this age group, but the staff does its absolute best to keep everything there as much to a minimum as possible. There's also an app to keep parents updated; some days the "minute by minute" types of updates can't get recorded, but the staff are understandably focused on the kids and I've always gotten a quick reply if I needed to check in on my daughter and how she's doing (example: just this week she had a harder time at drop off, and when I messaged to ask how she was doing an hour or so later, I got a nearly immediate reply). We’ve loved our experience with Let’s Be A Kid and fullheartedly recommend this daycare to other families! As a family of two full-time working parents, it’s been such a relief to know our daughter is in a loving, supportive environment where she can truly thrive while we have to go to work.
