LI Child Care Center

I am so happy I chose this school for my 3 year old son. I toured a lot of schools. I was set to begin the school year at a different school, when my son did not have a positive experience there for summer camp. I lost my deposit at the other school , but have no regrets after seeing such a difference in my child at LICC. They have done an amazing job helping me to potty train my child. The education part of the school is also very good. LICC is both a daycare and preschool. I was concerned that the academic part would be less comprehensive than a school that was strictly a preschool. This is not the case. My son is happy, learning a lot, and I feel comfortable leaving him there for long days. I love their transparency. You never have to announce your coming and can show up any time to peak in the windows. This really gave me peace of mind. The flexibility of the school with your schedule is also something I could not find anywhere else. All around, I highly recommend.

My infant son went here for about 6 weeks in the spring of 2022. The infant program had been closed due to COVID and they were reopening as I moved to the area. I really like that he’d be 1 of 4 infants max so I signed him up even though I had some concerns. Main concerns were the infant room felt very bleak and old, plus they did not have a buggy or any way to take the infants out side. Right off the bat, before he even started, one of the staff called to tell me that they felt 10 hours/day was too long and that I should send him only for 8. Eventually I was “allowed” to drop him off for the amount of time originally agreed on. I often felt like my son was viewed as an inconvenience (since no other infants had signed up). One day I was called and told I couldn’t drop him off, they didn’t have enough staff. They are also closed 5 weeks out of the year, not 2 like they originally told me. They closed down the infant program for the summer (and my son is thankfully some place awesome) and I’ve heard they plan to reopen. There are a ton of better places similarly priced in the area that have well established infant centers.I’m sure this place is a lovely camp, but I can not recommend them for infant care.

Top notch facility! My daughter has been going here for years and we have experienced all of their programs. I am SO happy we made the switch to this facility from another local daycare/pre-school. They go above and beyond to ensure the safety, education, and care of the children and families they service. The owners and staff are so nice and professional. Love this place!!

Love this school and the staff! My son gets to experience LICC year round, learning so much during the school year and having tons of fun at summer camp with my daughter. We are so happy we found this gem!
