Li'l Cubs Playschool

We had an amazing experience sending our first daughter to Li’l Cubs Playschool with Regina. Our daughter was there for a year before she started preschool. Regina really prepared her for school and sets up an environment for learning and developing. Our daughter loved going there and still asks about her beloved Gina, as the kids call her. Gina is a great communicator and keeps you updated about your kids day with pictures and info through the app, Brightwheel. We would absolutely recommend Li’l Cubs Playschool to anyone looking for a loving and caring home daycare setting for their little ones. We plan to send our second baby there when she’s a bit older.

Regina and Lil Cubs was a great experience for us. Our son had just turned two and it was the perfect experience for him to get some socialization with other kids, some structure and great learnings and preview of preschool. Regina creates a perfect environment with a small group of kids, fun and creative activities that helps them learn and get acquainted with rules, playing and learning together.

A good daycare is very hard to find, and we consider ourselves incredibly fortunate to have found Regina to take care of our daughter. I don’t think we could’ve found a more trustworthy, caring and thoughtful professional to take care of our little girl. Immediately, our daughter formed a bond with Regina, and looked forward to going to daycare every day. We are first time parents, so Regina‘s efforts in updating us throughout the day, with photos, narratives, and even videos of what the children were doing was extremely comforting. We also saw just how well planned and thoughtful each day could be, from outdoor activities to special art projects to daily circle time going over the calendar and weather. Our daughter thrived under Regina’s care and tutelage. Not only was she well cared for, Regina introduces a robust and thorough curriculum to help the children learn and be prepared for preschool. When our daughter entered preschool at age 3, we were told that she was well ahead of most children older than her, as far as letters numbers and her vocabulary, and we attribute that to Regina’s efforts. She also hones in on the children’s (fleeting) interests, creating projects and games centered around things that the kids are interested in at that moment. Admittedly, we happened upon Regina when our first choice, boutique Montessori school did not have space after a year-long wait. Knowing what we know today, we would choose Regina hands-down over any high-end exclusive school.

Li'l cubs Playschool is the first daycare for my child and he loves going there! Regina takes good care of my son with love and warmth. She is a very responsible, caring, genuine, and lovely teacher, someone you would want your child to be around. She openly communicates with me about him, which is another reason why I feel comfortable leaving him with Regina's care. I see a big smile on his face every morning when he sees Regina, and he wants to stay there longer during pick-up because he just loves her so much! Although he is not old enough to verbalize, I can tell from his smile and laugh how much he enjoys and has a great time with his teachers and peers. This means a lot to us. Whenever people ask me "how is your son at daycare?" I respond with confidence "He LOVES going there!" I feel so lucky that I found Regina's daycare for my son. He is thriving and I cannot thank her enough for being part of his life.

Our daughter was born in the early part of the pandemic, so she spent the first years of her life primarily with us. When she turned two, the pandemic was still hanging over everyone so, not surprisingly, safety was the foremost topic on my mind. We were with Li'l Cubs Playschool for over a year, and never once did I ever worry about our daughter or whether she was in good hands. Regina is wonderful with children and the children love being with her. When we looked for a small, home-based daycare, I only expected someone who would watch over our daughter, but we got so much more than I expected. Regina has daily lessons, arts and crafts projects, and physical activities planned out to expand their hungry minds and develop their tiny bodies. She is diligent about providing photos, video clips, and short explanations about what your child is doing each day. You have a sense of what has been happening that day even before you pick your child up. Our little one has recently moved on to preschool, but we miss the loving, enriching environment of Li'l Cubs Playschool every day!
