My daughter has been going to Little Explorer’s Family Daycare since she was 6 months old and is now over 4 years old (so for a total of just under 4 years). Veronica is the most incredible care giver. She is unbelievably patient and never gets overwhelmed, frustrated or upset. She intervenes with the kids in a way that is kind but also teaches them how to get along well with others. She speaks Spanish to the kids and my daughter now understands Spanish fluently and occasionally uses Spanish with me (I am a non native Spanish speaker). Teacher Vero (Veronica) has the day structured so that the kids also learn once they are preschool age. My daughter knows her alphabet and the sounds (basic phonemic awareness) in both Spanish and English, she knows her numbers and has been working on her fine motor skills daily (cutting, tracing, coloring and painting). She clearly writes her name and all the letters. This is all because of the activities she does with Veronica. They do little art projects often, dance, have circle time to learn together and this has all helped prepare my daughter for TK. I feel my daughter is better prepared for going to school this fall than my older daughter who attended a preschool in our school district. Veronica was the perfect partner to work with during the nap training and potty training times of my daughter’s time with her. For potty training she helped implement the reward system we started at home and really followed what we were doing at home. With naps, she helped us with the transition from 2 to 1 naps and my daughter (who I can’t get to nap anymore at home even though she needs it) still naps at teacher Vero’s. She also eats very well there. Veronica makes a variety of foods for the kids throughout the week and always offers proteins and veggies and fruits. This childcare has simply been a dream for our family. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to send my daughter for 4 years. Veronica is genuine, warm and experienced. I have seen her interact with the kids so many times in a way that leaves me so impressed by her. She obviously loves what she does and I’ll be forever grateful for giving my daughter such an amazing foundation and for giving me the memories of having such a loving place to take my daughter for her earliest years.
