My son has attended Little Lites since he was an infant and my older children go to Little Lites’ spring and summer camps. So we’ve been going there for nearly 5 years. The same teacher that was my son’s teacher as an infant 5 years ago, still works there today. Many of the staff and teachers still work there from when we first started. I trust them completely with all three of my kids. We are excited to put our youngest in the kindergarten program soon, and can’t wait for him to learn to read. Currently in the pre-k program he’s on track with all the kindergarten readiness requirements, which is all thanks to his pre-k teacher at Little Lites. Our son has never had a teacher there that he didn’t love. Throughout the years my kids have always been safe, happy, and well cared for at Little Lites.

This is a wonderful child care option! My son started at 13 months and my daughter started at 8 weeks. I always felt comfortable leaving my children at Little Lites because the staff were so detail oriented with the children. Everyday I got a full breakdown of their day on a worksheet and it was always super detailed. The 2 hr diaper changes were always noted and any notes about needing cream or out of the norm diapers were always appreciated. Snacks and meal times were also consistently detailed and noted. The allergies had special attention and the awareness of the staff for individual needs was superb.
The facility itself was super clean and evidence of diligent housekeeping was everywhere. Every night it was “all hands on deck” for washing the toys with disinfectant and disinfecting the rooms and surfaces.
The security code enforced double door entry in the lobby was a selling point for me and checking ID’s for different faces picking up and dropping off children was appreciated by my family. When I toured and placed my deposit, Stephanie even shared with me a Military program available to assist families with expenses. I signed up for the program and was very grateful for the advice!
The education schedules and curriculum were amazing as well. There is a great balance of learning going on and playing. The fences around the outside play areas were well maintained and there were always more than one teacher monitoring outside play. The music and dancing in the auditorium was great thing to see every morning as well. The best part was they greeted my babies every morning with enthusiasm and genuinely seemed to love their interactions with the kids. I think they loved my kids and they took phenomenal care of them. I got texts if anything needed to be shared and sweet pictures also. They were also flexible when I needed it with taking the kids outside of our normal schedule. I was sad to leave due to financial necessity but will always recommend this program to anyone looking for childcare!
**Update: We have returned to this facility with our kids in 2021. Our family loves this business. We stayed until 2023 when we moved out of state.

I truly cannot say enough great things about Little Lites. They have been with us through the growth of our family from one to two children and the many milestones in between. From babies “first day” to big kid potty training, they truly have always had our backs and have given our kids a loving environment to learn how to be happy, healthy, self-sufficient little people.
This is a family run daycare and they really treat our kids like they are their own. The center is always clean. The staff are so sweet. The children are engaged daily in appropriate early childhood play and learning. And they have the *best* teacher-student ratios I’ve seen in a childcare facility in all of Reno.
I am so grateful to have found this community. My kids are happy, healthy, safe, cared for, and LOVED and it shows in their behavior when they come home each day.
Thank you, Little Lites!

We love this daycare! Our child has been going here for a few weeks now and we love how involved the caregivers and teachers are with the kids. They provide a little sheet at the end of the day with how their days went and send updates throughout the day, communication here is fantastic! There also seems to be something fun going on like spirit weeks or fun activities! They have playgrounds for the different age groups as well which is something that I really appreciate that they get some playtime outside!

BEWARE. When my son was 3 he was enrolled in this daycare. They were aware of his severe peanut allergy was given an epipen for him, and he went into anaphylactic shock on their property due to eating a peanut m&m he was given. The program director explained to me over text that she didn't realize his allergy was that severe since he hadn't had a reaction in a couple years. After a couple days the director texted me and told me that they were removing him from the program because their school wasn't safe enough. I contacted licensing and a lawyer and they both told us there was basically nothing we could do because it's a religious organization and they are not required to follow any ADA laws.
