Little One's Gallery Bilingual Family Daycare

We had a wonderful experience at LOG! Our son started there at 5 mos old and we would’ve stayed until preschool if we didn’t move out of state. Changing daycares was one of the hardest parts of our move, which I believe is such a testament to our time at LOG. Ms. Renata and Ms. Natalia are so warm and loving. They provided a beautiful environment for all the kids to learn and grow. We loved the smaller environment of LOG especially since we started our son so young. He was given tons of attention and care and we never worried about him while he was there. Renata and Natalia truly LOVE these kids which gives us so much peace as working parents. They are very communicative throughout the day and it is easy to get in touch with them. We also loved the bilingual aspect of LOG, our son still speaks some words in Portuguese even after leaving. The only thing that can be tricky are the hours. We had to rearrange our work schedule quite a bit to make it work for us, however, after touring alot of home daycares in the area, we felt Renata was worth it. It also provided us as parents more time with our child at the end of the day. There are also quite a few holidays and planned vacations, which are understandable since the staff is limited to two people. Overall, we LOVED LOG and miss them! If you choose this daycare, rest assured your children will be so very loved and cared for. 💕💕

This daycare is highly recommended by my husband and me! It feels like a second home for my son. I always trust them, and when I drop off my son at this daycare, I feel completely confident that he’ll have a great time and engage in many learning activities. I love how homely it feels for my son and how happy he is when he gets back home,

Little Ones Daycare is a wonderful and loving place! Both of my kids have spent time at Little Ones and always leave happy. Renata loves my kids and treats them like family. I always know they are being showered with love as soon as they enter her door, which is all I can hope for as a mom.

We have had an incredible experience with Little Ones Gallery Family Daycare! The care provided to our two boys has been exceptional. The staff is incredibly caring and attentive, and they have created a warm and nurturing environment for the children. We have been particularly impressed by their quick responsiveness to any questions or concerns we've had. We feel so fortunate to have found such a wonderful daycare for our children. Highly recommend!

Things We Loved: Home Environment: The children at Little Ones Gallery (LOG) are kept on the main floor of the home with lots of windows. Renata’s home is clean, smells good and is baby proof. Family: This daycare is truly a family business. Even though Renata and her aide are the primary caretakers, Renata’s family all build a relationship with the children. My daughter was always happy to see every member of Renata’s family. In addition, the parents at this daycare also build a relationship with each other. During my daughters time at this daycare, the family's whose children attended the daycare would celebrate our little ones birthday together, have play dates and go to the park as a group. Having these small get-togethers gave me an opportunity to chat about the ups and downs of parenting, which was invaluable. Activities: This daycare provides lots of opportunities for free play/crafts. My daughter came home with a collection of artwork every few weeks. Renata has a backyard with a swing set, small toddler pool and water table for the warmer months as well as a diverse array of toys for the children when indoors. In the winter, they have access to the outdoors when weather appropriate, as well. All children’s birthdays are celebrated by the daycare and Renata plans fun and creative activities for Halloween, Easter and Christmas. Communication: Renata readily updated us on any challenges our daughter was experiencing in the daycare setting, provided lots of pictures via text of her daily activities and sent reminders regarding school closures. I never felt that I needed to seek out information regarding our daughter’s day and developmental transitions. Things To Consider: Vacation Time: In line with all preschools in the area, LOG is closed for all US holidays. However, there are additional closures that are less common in the daycare setting, including Good Friday, an entire week inclusive of Christmas and New years, a week in April and a week in the summer. All of these closures are paid vacation days. This can become expensive, since you are paying the daycare, and if you don’t have an option of also taking vacation time, you are also paying another childcare provider. It would be appreciated if Renata had sufficient help to have coverage during her week long vacations, so parents didn’t have to take time off of work vs pay a different childcare provider during her (well deserved) vacation weeks. Hours: LOG is open 8:00am-4:30pm. If you commute to/from work, picking up your child on time may be challenging and become stressful. We would have liked it if LOG hours were 8am - 5pm OR if LOG charged a fee for early drop off (7:30-7:45am)/late pick up (5:00pm) to give parents more time to get to/from work with less stress. Communication: As previously stated, most communication occurs via text. On pick up/drop off, Renata’s aide (Portuguese speaking) will greet you at the door, and though I like the bilingual aspect of this daycare, it makes a quick update via chat, challenging. Renata is available for face to face communication, however, she prefers this to be scheduled ahead of time. She could consider having specific days that she is consistently present on drop off/pick up to give parents an opportunity for face to face chats without having to plan in advance. **Overall Experience: Prior to finding LOG, my daughter attended a typical daycare setting with multiple children and childcare providers. We very much preferred the small “classroom” size that LOG offers, in addition to the meals and snacks that Renata provided. My daughter loved LOG and as parents, we loved LOG too! The relationships built between the children as they grow and develop together, is priceless. Renata and her family are kind, loving, warm, generous and understanding. I truly believe Renata LOVES these children. I am grateful for the experience that LOG provided my daughter over her ~1.5 years at this daycare. I have and will continue to highly recommend this family daycare to friends and family!
