Little Scholars International Preschool

Little Scholars was my son's first exposure to a daycare and preschool setting and he is now a thriving, well-adjusted toddler because of the enriching experiences he's received here. From the amazing home cooked lunches to holiday celebrations to a Scandinavian-leaning all weather outdoor play philosophy, the staff go above and beyond in educating the whole person from birth. I'm so lucky to have found this preschool in my area; but I know many parents who drive almost half an hour from far away suburbs so their kids can have the same opportunity.

Highly recommend this preschool's Chinese learning program and staff. Our family is not native Chinese speakers and Nannan laoshi has made our daughter and ourselves feel safe and welcomed. After a few weeks of enrollment our daughter came home and told us she loved preschool and was stimulated to learn. She has since picked up the language well, made many friends, and has improved her social and motor skills. The community is safe and the playground is large and fenced in for children to run around. The meals are of high quality and the home is very clean. We appreciate Nannan's attention to detail and care put into planning the structured curriculum and navigating all the questions and concerns from parents along the way. Thank you!

Our 2 year old daughter attended Little Scholars at her Seattle location for a little less than a year. We felt very comfortable sending her everyday. She learned a lot about sharing, taking turns, speaking mandarin, was happy, and was fully supported on her potty training journey. Nannan always made sure the space was clean and made delicious food for the children. Nannan was very invested in our daughters development and offered suggestions on how we could help her with activities and books at home. At drop off and pickup she would make sure we had a good understanding of how things were progressing and what happened that day. We wish we could commute to the new location. We loved our time at Little Scholars with Nannan!

Sending our kid to Kelley was one of the best decisions we made for our family needs. Our kid was just turned two when he started his daycare and was happy to go everyday. He would speak constantly about how much fun he had with the Kelley Laoshi and other children. We got regular updates on the mood, sleep/eat progress and any other big transitions/milestones. It was amazing that he could communicate in both Chinese and English! We had no problems trusting that Kelley, LaoLao, and other staffs had the best interests for our kid and would provide a nurturing and fun environment for all of the kids. I highly recommend checking out this daycare!! The main draws were the staff, individualized attention, play-based approach/outside time, great communication, hours of operation and how happy all of the children seem at both drop off and pickup!

Ms. Kelley Zhang is a warm, kind, and wonderful person who pours love and care into the kids. Our son was at her previous Seattle location for several years and loved it. I really appreciate Ms. Zhang's child-led play-based philosophy, and the mandarin immersion environment. A wonderful place where kids can be healthy, happy, and learn lots of interesting things.
