We feel so incredibly lucky to have found Little Star Day Care for our children. From the moment we walked in, we knew it was something special. Ella and her amazing team are nurturing, kind, patient and attentive. You can tell they genuinely love what they do, and it shows in how happy and engaged the kids are every single day. We’ve seen how caring Ella has been to both our children.
The children learn both English and Chinese. On top of that, Little Star prepares fresh homemade meals daily—food quality and care that you will typically not find elsewhere—often rice, homemade dumplings, noodles, etc—and made fresh daily.
The space itself is clean, bright, and well-organized, with a lovely backyard where the kids can safely play and explore. The daily circle time is a mix of songs, stories, and learning that the children look forward to. Their daily routine and curriculum are thoughtfully planned.
We highly recommend Little Star. Throughout the years we’ve trusted both our children with Ella and her staff. Ella has created a truly exceptional environment where children are loved, nurtured, and inspired to grow—a wonderful day care!

My daughter has been with Ms. Ella since she’s been 1.5 years old and she just turned 3. She has thrived. We chose this daycare for the bilingual language learning and the small class size. When our daughter first started, Ms. Ella and the other teachers spent extra time with her to adjust. We received many pictures of her throughout the day (usually of her being held by a teacher for comfort) and that put us at ease. There was really no reason for us to worry as our daughter adjusted so quickly and loved daycare.
My daughter has food allergies and eczema. Ms. Ella has always been mindful of this and helped with applying creams and giving her a separate allergy safe healthy snack. We knew for sure when one day when our daughter came home and randomly said she cannot eat fish crackers because she is allergic, lol. My daughter is incredibly picky with food and generally will refuse all vegetables at home. I never stress too much about it because I know that Ms. Ella provides a balanced and nutritious lunch at daycare and my daughter always finishes the lunch. On days where they have special meals like fresh steamed home made buns, I know she asks for/gets multiple servings.
We used to speak mostly English at home, but transitioned to being a primarily Chinese household to help with our daughter speaking Mandarin. She is so fluent in Mandarin and it is her primary language. From a really young age she came back learning how to sing Chinese nursery rhymes, recite Chinese poems, and asking for me to play Chinese songs for her. It’s also incredibly cute because we have noticed that she has picked up Ms. Ella’s speech mannerisms, which just goes to show how much time Ms. Ella spends engaging with the children. We do know that she is getting a bilingual education at school because even with this, she tried to transition to speaking primarily English a few months back but quickly switched back at home when we continued to engage in Chinese.
Other nice things about the daycare include that they will help potty train your child. My daughter has been fully potty trained for a while now thanks to Ms. Ella’s help including for naps. Ms. Ella also does my daughter’s hair every day (my daughter refuses to get her hair combed at home and always goes to daycare with bed head) and I always love to see what hair style she is in photos. The daycare has a large covered space in the back yard with lots of different play structures for the kids to play. I love that my daughter gets plenty of time outside to run around and play with the other kids. There is also a nice park across the street that a lot of the parents will take the kids to after pick up.
We are finally moving our daughter out of daycare to go to preschool, and I feel so sad. I had been putting it off longer than I originally anticipated just because of how much my daughter loves Ms. Ella. I take some comfort in the fact that I plan to send my younger daughter there when she is a bit older.
Highly recommend this daycare!

We really love Little Star! The environment is very clean and well-organized, and the outdoor playground is a good size for toddlers to play and explore safely.
There are many fun activities every week. Our daughter Nora especially enjoys doing crafts. She has been going to Little Star since she was two years old. During this time, she has learned a lot — she even stopped using her pacifier and diaper while at daycare!
Ms. Ella is very patient, caring, and passionate about children. All the kids love her!
This is also a bilingual daycare (Mandarin and English), which is great for families who want their child to learn Mandarin. We are native Mandarin speakers, but Nora even learned some Chinese poems that we didn’t know— we were very surprised!
And one more thing — Ms. Ella is a great cook! Nora is a picky eater, but she always finishes her lunch at daycare. That means a lot to us.
We are very happy with Little Star and highly recommend it to other parents who want a warm, loving, and language-rich daycare for their child.

My son attended here for a year. The teachers are very warm and caring, the atmosphere is wonderful, and he learned a lot and made great progress. He can sing many nursery songs now, knows his colors and numbers, and also eats really well at lunch. I highly recommend this daycare!

My little one went to Little Star Family Daycare since she was 13 months. As the youngest kid, Miss Ella gave her a lot of attention and made her feel like home. She grew up quickly while learning a lot skills. She loves her Ella so much and doesn't want to leave when we have to move in her 30 months. I would highly recommend Little Star Family Daycare to who wants to find a home like sweet place for your little one.
