Little Sunshine's Playhouse of San Antonio at Stone Oak

Both of my sons went to Little Sunshine Playhouse for a total of 6.5 years. We never had any issues when my oldest son was there and felt blessed to have found a safe and nourishing place for him to be while we worked. When our second son was born, naturally we enrolled him. Everything was great until just after he was four when he started getting bit. He was bit by more than one “friend,” but by one in particular no less than 5 TIMES. I know other children were bit by the same kid. The friend was not dismissed, but I was assured that he would be kept away from my son. After picking up my son and seeing him at the same table as my kid three times in the last 2 weeks; enough is enough. They had a cornerstone staff member fired recently for neglect and I’m wondering if the wrong personnel was fired. Don’t send your child here if their safety is important to you.

We absolutely love Little Sunshine's Playhouse and Preschool! Our family has had the joy of being part of this school community for almost 2 years now. One of the biggest blessings has been Miss Relis! She was our son’s infant teacher and is now his two-year-old teacher. We couldn’t be more thankful and know our son is in good hands with her. Her love, patience, and dedication to helping our son grow has meant the world to us. The bond she has built with him is truly special. I also have to give a shoutout to Miss Terri, who cared for our son when he was just a newborn. Leaving him at daycare for the first time is incredibly hard — but those fears quickly disappeared once we saw how lovingly Miss Terri cared for him! Although our son is no longer in her class, she continues to go out of her way to greet us and remind us just how special he is to her. Every single teacher and staff member we’ve met has shown such genuine love for the children. You can tell that they don’t just show up for a job — they are there because they truly care and want to see each child flourish!

We have been going to LSP for 2 months so far because our previous daycare shut down. It ended up being a blessing in disguise because I found LSP! This school has been amazing and so engaging. They always do such fun activities and crafts that all fit a monthly theme. It used to be waterworks during drop off but now my toddler is happy to go to school. I think a lot of this is because of her teacher Ms Relis. Even the first day of daycare, when my kid started crying and Ms Relis was able to distract her and cheer her up.

This school was amazing to us and our family. We had just moved from overseas and they were accommodating from the start with our little girl being new to daycare. We didn't know the process and neither did she and everyone was patient and loving along the way. All the staff from management to the teachers to the cooks to the front desk are always so nice and welcoming! Special shoutout Ms. Relis my goodness she is an angel. She was so loving and patient to our little girl even though our baby kept getting sick and cried during drop-off. Ms. Relis is knowledgeable and such a professional, I would say of the absolute highest tier. We were so lucky to have her as our girl's teacher! I highly, HIGHLY recommend Little Sunshine's in Stone Oak!

My daughter has been going there for a little over one year, she's the happiest child. She's had many great teachers! She has learned a lot, and has made some friends along the way. She's currently with Miss Melissa & Miss Kathleen and they both have taught her so much we are extremely happy with her progress! Most likely also bringing the little brother to LSP once he's old enough!
