We are so lucky to have found this really unique preschool for my son. It is a nature preschool which is mostly outdoors. My son is thriving. There is a perfect balance of free play and different structured activities that kids get to learn in a FUN way, including art day, science day, music day, and weekly cooking projects. The owners Amber and Ryan are lovely and communicate really well. They love the kids so much. My son is always happy at drop off and pick up. Cannot recommend this preschool enough!

We are so grateful for Amber and have been very impressed with the level of care she provides for our daughter for the past year. Her compassion and understanding for children is such a gift. Amber’s focus is a hands-on learning/play approach and is super creative and encouraging. She communicates effectively with us about any concerns and shares highlights from each day. Amber and Ryan’s home feels very welcoming and safe. My little one loves to explore their beautiful property! The best feeling as a mother is knowing my daughter is learning, having fun, and truly being cared for.

We love Magical Mindset! My son has thrived at this school and has grown exponentially. He has loved being able to spend his days outside and truly experiencing the world the way that children are meant to. Ms. Amber has provided a kind, loving environment and given him the boost of confidence that he truly needed. They do weekly cooking projects with fresh ingredients from their garden, create meaningful projects to bring home to their families, and practice practical problem solving skills in a natural, supportive way. We will truly miss Amber and her family as we transition to TK this fall.

We love Magical Mindset Preschool! My toddler started here about a month ago, and we could not be happier. Amber is truly fantastic, and the program is supportive, thoughtful, and a lot of fun! We love the cooking projects, artwork, teamwork, and gardening, but most importantly, we love that our child is supported, encouraged, and excited about every school day!

I feel so grateful to have found Magical Mindset preschool! My two daughters (age 4 and 2) absolutely love attending. Magical Mindset Preschool is situated on a beautiful property in West Petaluma that is filled with natural wonders for the children to explore. Every morning my girls run in excitedly! The children spend much of the day outside where they are immersed in pretend play, gross motor play like jumping on the trampoline, sliding, swinging and gardening in the garden. The children come home with herbs, veggies, and dishes they have proudly helped harvest and cook. My children have become so much more reverent and loving of the natural world since starting Magical Mindset and have lost their fear of bees and spiders. They often talk to me about loving and protecting mother earth. They do fun projects like build fairy houses, build robots, and lots of games, arts and crafts. My daughter has learned how to play board games that I thought were too advanced for her, but at school she is challenged and loves learning and stretching her skills. Because of the smile class size, Amber is able to spend a lot of time with each child and help each child develop their personal strengths. She is very knowledgeable about child development and extremely patient, kind and loving. She sees the best in each child while helping hold necessary boundaries. I can't recommend the school enough, it is a dream preschool that is both magical, homelike and fun. Amber goes above and beyond any typical preschool program to make the experience special. Magical Mindset feels like your children are at a loving, patient, fun family home with teachers with so much energy and passion for education and the natural world.
