Mama Melli Childcare Center

Hello! I’m the lead teacher for our 3-6 year olds program! The forest Program at Butterfly Garden here at Mama Mellis. My son started when he was 2 years old, and is in the Holistic Developmental Program. It will be a year in August but couldn’t wait to share our experience. I am so grateful for this position I get to take on every day of the week with a great staff and an incredible boss. I have seen my son grow and learn from his teachers that I see truly want the children in their care to be the best versions of themselves. How blessed is every child that gets to play and spend their days here, filled with care, love, and trees. I love every child I get to have in my program, to help them developmental thrive and play. I have the upmost gratitude for such a place as this one. I recommend and encourage enrollment here at Mama Mellis Childcare Center. ♥️

Mama Mellie’s is fantastic! My toddler loves playing outside and learning from his teachers. I love the small class sizes and that he gets to play with other kids in a good age range.

We toured every child care center in the area, you won’t find a more caring, loving and nurturing place than Mama Melli’s. Our kid was shy, quiet and reserved, and after almost a year here, he is now much more outgoing, chatty, and full of excitement every day he gets to go see his friends at Mama Melli’s. It’s exactly what our kiddo needed, outdoor time, with animals, yoga, singalongs, and loads of wonderful toys to play with. The teachers are so incredible and kind. We could not be happier with our experience here, and we highly suggest you check it out!

We highly recommend Mama Melli’s - especially if you’re looking for a lower adult/child ratio which is so important. Our little guy has so much fun there with yoga, guitar songs, lots of outdoor and nature play. Melissa is one of the best early childhood directors I’ve encountered - she is loving, trustworthy, responsive, and cares for each child and cares for her staff too. Our son enrolled at Mama Melli’s after a long stint at a great traditional daycare and we are so glad we made the switch. Melissa, the owner and director, has created a phenomenal culture that fosters holistic development as well as strong social bonds. Many daycares feel like an institution. Classrooms can be quite sterile and the staff are sometimes more like babysitters, who often come and go. MM on the other hand is akin to dropping my child off at his favorite aunt’s house. There is a familial vibe and a tangible sense of togetherness. The teachers sing and play along with the children and encourage their little personalities to bloom. I’ve witnessed many new, shy toddlers turn into jovial, outgoing and giggly kids within a few weeks time. This is a testament to the environment of trust and encouragement. There is an almost tangible and genuine sense of joy and love that is reflected in each of the incredible teachers and children. I’m constantly impressed by the level of closeness and care exhibited by the staff. Our son is thriving here and we are grateful that he is able to get his ample energy out and play outside for hours on end when the weather permits. His dusty smile at the end of the day is absolutely priceless. If you want to give your kids the ability to be kids in a safe, loving and intentional environment, this is your place.
