Mindful Explorers Montessori Preschool

Mindful Explorers Montessori Preschool was the best accidental find I could have ever hoped for. From day 1 Amy and MJ were family. We watched our baby grow into a caring, exploring, inquisitive little human over the 2 years he was at MEM. With the guidance of Amy, I learned little people are capable of so much more than we give them credit for. From dressing themselves early on, to helping with tasks around the house, potty training, or making themselves a meal. Things that we think are mundane are not when you are just learning and wanting to contribute. I will forever be grateful for Amy and MJ and will always feel comfortable reaching out if I have any questions about how to handle a situation. If you are considering sending your child to a Montessori program, I cannot praise this one enough.

What a dream this place is for children. Amy runs such an outsanding program. She is loving, nurturing and creates such a beautiful rhythm and routine for the kids to thrive. We watched our daughter absolutely blossom under her care. If you're looking for a perfectly sized, non-overwhelming environment for your child with caregivers who will respect and nurture their individuality, this is the place.

Our son has been attending Mindful Explorers Montessori since he was about 20 months old (he is 3 now). This is the first place he went, so naturally we were anxious sending him for the first time. Amy and MJ have always treated him like one of their own, and he has absolutely thrived emotionally, physically and socially. During his time at MEM, he has grown into an independent, compassionate little toddler. Amy has helped us through difficult developmental phases and has treated us with kindness along the way. I know that starting him with the Montessori method early on has led to an increase in focus/attention span, independence, and emotional awareness. Especially as a first time parent, the decision of where to send your child is a very challenging one, and we have been extremely pleased with the care our son has received here. We are going to be so sad when it's time for him to move on!

Our son started at MEM at 17 months and before that had only been watched by family because of COVID. It’s been just over a month and we could not be happier with Amy and MJ! All our anxieties about someone else caring for our child have completely gone out the window! Our son has learned so much and has developed more than we ever could have imagined would happen this quickly. It can be hard to know you’re making the right choice when choosing a place to care for your child during the day and MEM sure makes the decision an easy one! We know he is so well taken care of there, and he comes home talking about the teachers and other students, so we know he loves it too!

We have had two children go to MEM and can't say enough wonderful things about this program. We were not familiar with Montessori-style learning before, but fell in love with the curriculum and saw huge growth in both of our kids! The mix of learning and outdoor play was exactly what our kids needed and undoubtedly set them up for success in preschool and pre-K. I would highly recommend this program to anyone lucky enough to get a spot in MEM!
