Mrs. Durgin's Preschool

***A hidden gem worth more than 5 stars*** Mugga and Po are amazing. Our son started with them last year and it has been a huge blessing for our family. They have gone above and beyond to care for him during this time. Our son always brags about his adventures to the park or amazing breakfasts Mugga makes for the kids. We're so lucky we found that at Mrs. Durgins Playcare. We've watched our son thrive and grow in their care, gaining new fine motor skills, and building friendships. I highly recommend anyone looking for a great daycare in Petaluma.

My family was so lucky to have found Mrs. Durgin's Playcare! Having never been away from home before, we were unsure how our 2 yr old daughter would handle the transition. Deb and Tom made such an effort to make her feel right at home, and treated her as one of their very own grandchildren. They were willing to take the time to make her feel comfortable and loved, which made her go from being nervous at first to absolutely loving it. You can tell how great of a place it is by the children. All the kids love it there and seem to come from great families, which shines through onto the daycare program. I highly recommend Mrs. Durgin's to anyone looking for wonderful care for their little one.

We are so delighted to have found Debrah and Tom. Our daughter loves going and we appreciate the love and friendship that has grown over this past year. They focus on the supporting the “whole child” and pay attention to each child’s individual needs with developmental appropriate toys and activities. It’s really a home away from home. Nurturing and supportive. Happy and adventurous. There’s time for independent play, outdoor play, and many different learning activities. They have a dramatic play area with dress up and age appropriate toys. Puzzles, arts and crafts, books and so much more to guide the children to feel a sense of autonomy, be socially fluent, and ready to enter kindergarten. We are extremely happy!

Our experience with Mrs. Durgin's Preschool has been wonderful. We feel incredibly fortunate to have found such a nurturing environment for our son. Debra and Tom are truly kind-hearted people, and their warmth has made a significant impact on our son's growth. It's heartening to see the noticeable growth in him over just a few months. Our extended family has expressed amazement at his progress, particularly in his speech development from Thanksgiving to Christmas. We're grateful for the positive impact Mrs. Durgin's Preschool has had on our son's overall growth and well-being.

I cannot recommend Mrs. Durgin's Preschool enough! My daughter, Mila, previously struggled with separation anxiety and had difficulty adjusting to other daycare environments. However, she has absolutely thrived at Mrs. Durgin's. Deb and her husband, Tom, go above and beyond to make each child feel safe, special, and truly cared for. Their attentive and loving approach has made a world of difference for Mila. The team is incredibly diligent about child safety, from careful sunscreen application to minimizing exposure to illnesses. The preschool also offers a wonderful mix of engaging activities, both outdoors and indoors. Mila loves dressing up, and the special celebrations like the Halloween egg hunt in costumes make every day exciting and memorable for her. I’m very particular about who I trust to care for my daughter, and I have complete confidence in Deb and Tom. Since attending Mrs. Durgin's, Mila's socialization and communication skills have improved immensely. I’m so grateful for the positive impact they’ve had on her development.
