Our child attends NECCDC and the school exceeds expectations across the board - the lead teachers are dedicated, experienced, long-term teachers. All the staff are incredible and know how to work well with all the kids' needs and abilities. The teachers and staff foster an inclusive child-first environment. They emphasize social and emotional growth, community, play, art, cooking, and fun projects for the kids. The spaces are high-quality and perfect sizes for the two class sizes of different ages. The outdoor courtyard where the kids play is a really amazing facility that is unique to this school. I am SO happy we found NECCDC - it feels like the best of all the really high quality play-based childcare options in this area. Most importantly, our child has thrived here. In just a few short months his language has exploded, and we've seen a noticeable difference in his social and emotional learning and growth! Can't say enough good things!

We’ve been at NCCDC for about 14 months and have had a great experience. Our child started in the toddler room and recently graduated into the preschool room. We’ve appreciated the generous hours of operations (7:30-5:30), warm staff, and small community feel. Our child runs into school excitedly each day, which is so reassuring as a parent. She is constantly surprising us with new skills, concepts, and information that she learned during the day. The school was helpful and supportive with potty training, and they’ve been highly accommodating of our dietary restrictions. We’ve also felt valued and respected as an LGBTQ family. Highly recommend this facility!

We have been sending our twin toddlers here for the last year and we are so glad we found this daycare. Their hours are unusually long, the price is great, and the teachers are so loving and caring. Ben, the current director, is a wonderful and knowledgeable teacher and leader. He puts so much work into this daycare and cares so much about all of the littles. The school is in a closed wing of a Presbyterian Church: it's spacious, private, and even has a huge outdoor play area, so the kids get to go outside without ever being outside a secure area. One of my favorite things about NCCDC is that they let parents volunteer at the school for all kinds of tasks, from buying snacks to cleaning the play areas to sitting on the school board and working with the director. Coming from a daycare that wouldn't let us past the front gate of the facility, it's a blessing to be able to see how things work during a day and have the opportunity to lend a hand. It's really a community daycare and we're lucky to be here.

We have two boys at NCCDC in the toddler and pre-school room. It’s been great for our family. The director is kind, friendly and accessible. The teachers have a lot of experience and get to know your kids really well. The space is in a church with a huge open courtyard for outdoor play everyday. They have a monthly and daily theme and read/do art projects related to the theme everyday. The other nice thing is that it is a coop so parents can be involved with school decisions.

NCCDC opened up their hearts-to our son and family in the best way. We are so impressed with their teachers, they are emotionally involved, aware and wear their hearts in their sleeves for our kids. They lead with love-which is what we all need-it’s a wonderful model-parents get to be involved and are welcome in the center-no stingy rules where it’s only a “child’s place” parents become teachers too when we work volunteer shift a couple times a month. Yes it’s work-cleaning or fun projects to prep for kids or the room-but you get to meet the parents you bond and affirm the struggles and triumphs of parenthood. You also are an active role in your child’s school-which feels wonderful to support and be immersed in more deeply. NCCDC supports the growth of our kids and us as families-what more could you ask for? The teachers will text you updates or you ask-they feed the kids awesome snacks and prioritize organic and Whole Foods. They have a separate eating space from the okay space-the kitchen which is awesome. Little tables and low high chairs to foster whatever eating support your child needs. The outside space is safe enclosed and so spacious! They have so many outdoor toys and prioritize outside time at least 3 times a day, they teach rain or shine which important as a PNW kid; learn there is no bad weather-just need the right fear to enjoy all seasons . The director is so easy to connect with and speak to-so important. It’s a hardworking lovely group of teachers and educators that deserve the world for keeping my kid, and calming my anxieties from past trauma. Gold stars, and gold hearts all around. Join us!!!
