Nurturly Kids

Looking for full-time infant childcare as first-time parents was extremely daunting and emotional. We got the chance to tour Nurturly when they had an opening in Spring 2023. We immediately got *the feeling*; we knew our son would have the loving, family-like care that he gets at home. Angelia is incredibly warm and caring, and was always extremely prompt with communication. She also happens to be a nurse, which further eased our minds. Her partner and his mother--who has decades of childcare experience--were always around, plus occasional part-time helpers. With only 3-5 kids enrolled during our time, there was clearly an excellent caregiver to child ratio. Our son would talk about all of them by name every night. Our son started at Nurturly at 6 months and stayed until we had to tearfully move away at 26 months. He learned *so* much there: a stable schedule for naps and meals, how to handle utensils and feed himself, how to handle art supplies like markers and tape, a love for music and books, dozens to hundreds of words in English and Cantonese, how to express himself and his emotions, care for other children, a love for pretend play, a love for gardening and the outdoors, and so much more! Nurturly also helped him seamlessly transition from 3 to 2 to 1 nap, from breast milk to cow's milk, from bottles to cups, and from a travel crib to a floor nap mat. They provided breakfast, lunch, and snacks, and they sent updates and photos every day in the Procare app. And all for totally reasonable rates! We were so sad to leave them as we really felt like part of their family by the end.

Trusting strangers to care for your baby is one of the most difficult decisions any parent has to make. We feel extremely fortunate to have found exceptional care for our daughter at Nurturly and cannot recommend them highly enough. Our daughter has been in Nurturly's care since she was 4 months old and is now a thriving 18-month-old. She greets every morning drop-off with smiles, clearly happy to spend her day in this warm environment that has become like a second family. After touring many daycares in the area and back in San Francisco for our older child, none compare to the thoughtful space Nurturly has created. They have invested in extensive indoor remodeling and outdoor upkeep, resulting in a safe, clean and nurturing environment where kids can grow and explore. There are so many things we appreciate about Nurturly. They provide nutritious meals, engage the children in daily art projects and special holiday activities, speak to them in Cantonese/Mandarin, maintain an incredible caregiver-to-child ratio, clearly communicate with parents, and send daily photos and updates. With one caregiver being a former nurse and another operating her own daycare for over 30 years, the experience and qualifications are top-notch. However, what we value most is the sincere affection between caregivers and children. Nurturly's owners have succeeded in cultivating an incredibly loving, family-like community where kids can thrive. We feel truly lucky to have found caregivers we can trust wholeheartedly with our baby's care and development.
