Once Upon A Daycare & Preschool

Our 2 year old has been receiving care here for 2 weeks. He has never been away from me or my husband. Not only does our baby have separation anxiety, but so do we - his parents. Our baby was given a picture of me to soothe him this week. He even napped outside of the home for the first time. Mrs Rosie & Staff have made this transition smooth. I appreciate the center/parent interaction through the app & the reassuring text messages. I highly recommend this Daycare Center!

I’ve worked at daycares and that’s what made me decide I’d never place my own children in one. I’ve seen other places blatantly disregard food requirements set by ODJFS and even ignore safety concerns like proper fall zones. I’ve had some scary colleagues who definitely shouldn’t have been working in daycares. Not to mention, most directors don’t learn the children’s needs—let alone their names. But this daycare is different. Rosie cares about every part of her enrolled children’s lives—down to their pets and grandparents names! She works hard to make sure she has staff that’s a good fit. My children have grown so much socially, physically, and mentally! I never thought I’d have one year olds saying “bless you!” when I sneeze or “mommy okay?” when I hurt myself. Their current teachers in the toddler rooms are helping them become so confident! I love how my kids sometimes tell me “mommy, go away” when I come to get them because they want to stay and play! I was so scared they’d hate daycare and cry all the time. But they genuinely love their teachers and that makes me so happy. It’s hard not being a stay at home mom anymore but I’m at least not worried and know they’re safe and loved while away from me! Also, for those commenting on lack of communication—They use a parent app called Class Dojo and post constantly and send photos and messages! I LOVE the app! Rosie also sends email blasts through a secondary program to keep us updated on everything going on called Procare. She also gives her cell number to every parent and tells us to feel free to text her anytime with questions or concerns. This daycare has the best communication I’ve ever seen!

All three of our daughters have attended/still attend OUAD for over 4 years, and we couldn’t be more satisfied with the childcare, preschool, and school aged care during summer break. Communication with the owner and teacher(s) is fast and easy, the meals and snacks are nutritious and fun for the kids, and it’s clear Miss Rosie and her team TRULY care about all of the children. Both of my school aged daughters were MORE than prepared for kindergarten and it showed in their school screenings. My school aged girls love going back during school breaks. We absolutely recommend this childcare center to everyone looking!!

We love this daycare and all the teachers. Rosie holds her staff and the kids to a high standard which I truly appreciate. My son loves it here and is always disappointed to go home early. Rosie works hard to provide valuable resources for families and children. She ensures that all her children are thriving social, emotionally and physically. She has great communication and is very transparent. She adores every child that walks through the door of her center and I find peace in knowing that she and her staff are there to support my child when I am at work. Thank you!

We relocated back to the area after being away for a few years. We looked at multiple options in the area. Rosie took multiple calls from us after hours and on weekends. She truly cares about her kids and center. The other centers we visited were very chaotic and it appeared the kids were running the center . Rosie is firm honest and caring. She will always make time to talk with you about any concerns you have. The center is well organized and our daughter has excelled at Once Upon a Daycare. I highly recommend them.
