The gym is really great following the renovations. I am giving a 1 star review because of the cancellation policy. Like many other gyms, this YMCA has opted to force members to sign a termination agreement in person. My understanding is that there is no real reason for such a policy other than to make it less convenient for members to cancel their memberships with the hopes of collecting extra payments.

NEW Review: I am again going to swim classes plus with a friend for just relaxing in the pool They have had a tremendous upgrade with the Ormond Beach facility and are continuing to do more. First: Ladies locker room The ladies locker room is exceptional and closer to the main desk. You won't have to go so far back down the hall. There are different areas for different needs. The dressing rooms are apart from the bathroom which are apart from the shower and sauna. They all meet up in the same room with an enormous mirror station. Oops, forgot lockers. Beautiful new up to date lockers. ****************************** Ormond Y Master's, Hydro4, Masters. Wellness center, discounts on programs. Especially if you are a member of silver sneaker.🧓👵👴 Group exercise, including Les Mills, basketball. 🏀 They also have indoor cycling, 🚲 a kid zone and more. 🚸 I forgot the ladies locker room. It has a sauna, a steam room, showers and.changing areas. (This is the best part for me)➡️ they have hair dryers and close-up mirrors so you can put your makeup back on. Wahoo 👩‍🎤💄 The only thing now is they're changing to their fall schedule and that is not out yet.🍃 There are no annual fees no contracts. 📃📝 Right now I'm doing water aerobics .👙🙆🙅🤷 Even though I cannot swim, I don't have any balance, and the starts from 4 ft which comes up to my neck up to way over my head. (I don't know because it would be the death of me to find out 🌊 Oh and yes, hours 🕔🕗are from 5am- 8pm Mon-Sat. No Sunday's I'm really enjoying myself ( I've gone 1 day) but had my pass for 2 years. No one would go with me so I always chickened out.🐔 But, I'm doing myself this time a-ha and all the members are kind enough to help you out. YAY

The location is nice, but the program is poorly organized and lacks adequate staffing. The classroom space is small and shared with large, noisy groups, making it chaotic. There are no educational activities, and the counselors don’t offer enough help for younger kids who need assistance with sunscreen or changing for swim time. Swimming supervision is a major concern—only one lifeguard is present, and counselors don’t go in the water, leaving too few eyes on the children. For the cost of this program, I expected a much safer and more supportive environment. I wouldn’t recommend it for younger children. While the location is nice, this camp lacks organization and adequate staffing. The classrooms are small and shared with large, chaotic groups, and there are no educational activities to engage the kids. Counselors don’t provide enough help with basic needs like applying sunscreen or getting changed for swim time. The most concerning issue happened during pick-up—my daughter and niece were nearly lost when my sister was trying to sign them out. Staff had no idea where they were, which is completely unacceptable and alarming. Swim time is also unsafe, with only one lifeguard and no counselors in the water. For the cost of this program, I expected much better care and supervision. I would not recommend this camp for younger children.

Happy to have added the Ymca to our families routine. Staff is super friendly and helpful. The locker rooms are beautifuly renovated and clean. The gym is never overly crowded when I go and a pleasant place for us to get exersice. I love the E-gym, as someone who wasn't confident lifting weights, it makes it pretty fool proof. Sarah E was a great help in getting us set up. Wish more yoga classes were offered durring the day on week days.

Clean gym. Nice staff. Very poor selection of clssses. I really miss my y in Hollywood Fl! Especially ab lab classes and good spin clssses. Spin clsss with Jennifer was the worst I’ve been to. She didn’t introduce herself. No playlist. She didn’t help how the bike worked. ( cheap bikes) I really hope the other instructor are more professional. Gym is lacking some machines, like for obliques.. it’s not serious weightlifting gym! Also doesn’t have a good triseps maschine and lacks free weights like 7 lbs. If i could give this gym 0 stars I would. The bathroom for ladies feels like steam room. The floor is slippery and filled with water. Law suit waiting to happen! lol
