We have been coming to this daycare for a while now and wanted to wait to do a review until we had more experience with it, so our review could be accurate and honest. The good: The establishment is beautiful with nice decorations and pleasant music. Both the inside and outside areas are clean and well-maintained. The uniforms for kids ages 2 and up are nice. The teachers are very kind, and most care deeply for the children. Even the front desk staff knows your child by name. Amanda up front is especially nice and approachable. As for safety, they have codes to go through the doors. Once inside the lobby, they use fingerprint scanning for check-in and check-out, which is wonderful. They also have very nice activities throughout the year, especially for Christmas. The areas we feel need work: Some activities only allow one parent to participate. They say it's to allow other children to be with their families or maybe it's a space issue. However, it is disappointing that we have to choose between mom or dad attending, instead of having an activity we can enjoy as a family. If your child has a blowout, expect a very messy bag with their clothes. They don't even try to clean them a little. This has happened four times while we've been there. We've picked up our child on several occasions, and they’ve had boogers or food on their face and clothes, and the teachers don't clean them or change their clothes. My child has been hurt in class, which I understand happens in a classroom full of children. However, they don't always keep an eye on the kids, and cameras don’t always capture everything. It's concerning when your child gets hurt, and they can't even tell you what happened (no major injuries, just scratches and bites). They have a very long waitlist, which is likely because they are better than many other daycares. It is a good daycare, and when we were deciding on which daycare to choose for our child, this one stood out for many reasons. However, I will add that this was also the most expensive daycare of the ones we visited and considered. Because of this, we had higher expectations. It’s a good school, but there are definitely areas for improvement. One thing that bothers me the most is picking up my child and finding that they are cover in snout and/or their shirt is completely soaked, either from water or something else, and they aren't changed even though they have extra clothes in their room. My child's clothes has been so soaked that when I pinched them, you could literally squeeze water out. I don't know why the teachers didn’t change the clothes. I know the teachers care, and some of the issues may be due to a change of teachers in the afternoon, and they may not be aware. The daycare/school does follow the state-mandated teacher-to-student ratio, but I know that’s still a lot of kids per teacher, and because of that, some things get missed unfortunately.

Saying I'm disappointed in this school would be the nicest way to put this. I went to pick up my two year-olds and it was outside play time. I went out to the playground to grab them and my son was leaning on the fence panting, face red as a tomato is 100° weather and water bottles left inside the class. The excuse was they cant carry water outside. They keep water in a bin well inside the classroom. You cant carry one bin outside? My boys would be dehydrated when I picked them up. (My boys drink a lot of water, I'm with them daily) I didnt know I talked to the assistant director and apparently they had already discussed some.of the issue i had, but to little to late I have a bad feeling and unfortunately I dont think they are safe enough. Please do better before a child is hurt or worse. Have a great day and stay motivated.

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the Pineapple family! We look forward to continuing our journey in the future with them and being a part of the Pineapple family again! The staff throughout the entire school was very helpful and always friendly! The communication was excellent, whether in person or via social media. It was enjoyable to hear and see all of the different things my daughter learned every day at school. Thank you Pineapple Cove Academy!

Pineapple Cove Academy has been an amazing experience for my daughters VPK journey! Choosing a school where not only your child will feel comfortable but you as well is difficult. My daughter was welcomed with open arms and now loves going to school! If you want a school that feels like a second home this is truly the best choice.
