My son absolutely loves going to PolkaDots. From day one we were greeted very warmly and openly. We absolutely love the staff and the consistency (no turnover). The facility is clean and well organized. It is such a good feeling when your child goes open arms to the person that is going to be caring for them all day. I could not have asked for better.

My daughter has been attending Polka Dots since she was 1 years old. The staff at Polka Dots have truly become like family to us. From day one, we’ve felt the genuine care, love, and attention they give to every child.
The director is an absolute gem—dedicated, compassionate, and always going above and beyond to ensure the center is a nurturing and enriching environment. Under her leadership, and thanks to the AMAZING teachers, my daughter has flourished both socially and academically.
We are incredibly proud that she was recently accepted into a magnet program for kindergarten, and we know without a doubt that Polka Dots played a major part in preparing her for that achievement.
We will forever be grateful for the strong foundation they’ve helped build. We love them and will miss them so much as we enter this next chapter!

I have been using Polka Dots for a couple years now for childcare. The director is very caring and attentive to the children in her care. She always checks on the children in her care if she sees them crying. The teachers are very caring and thoughtful about the children. I truly enjoy having Polka Dots staff taking care of my children!

My 1 year old was enrolled late February 2025 and only went for about 8 total hours. On the first day, upon pickup, I watched as two other kids were drinking out of his cup and his belongings were already in different cubbies. On the second day, my child came home with a goose egg on his forehead and none of the staff knew what happened. They implied that I or my husband did it in route home. The owner was contacted, and she told me that she would check the security camera footage and let me know what happened. Two days later, she contacted me and gave a story about her cameras not actually working properly and she could not provide me with proof of what happened. She apologized and originally told me that she would fix the things that went wrong and that they aren’t normally this disorganized and unsanitary with these things. I spoke to another parent and decided that perhaps this was all just a series of unfortunate events and that we should give it a try because they spoke so highly of the daycare. I called the owner Monday morning and said I’d be willing to give it a trial run. She then told me that she doesn’t think this is a good fit and that she would return my money and “no hard feelings.” Her quick change up makes this all so much more suspicious and leaves me wondering what really happened.
There are a few things they could improve upon:
1. Be honest about their ability to manage a certain number of children.
2. Have someone in the office to aid in admin issues as I never fully completed enrollment paperwork because owner was never there or when she was, she was unable to leave the classroom because she was filling in for a teacher.
3. Keep parents informed if security cameras are not fully functioning. (This was a determining factor for placement.)
4. Complete the daily report for the parents so that we know how our kid’s day went.
5. Make sure the kids only drink from their own cups and have ways of cleaning them during the day.
6. Not have the majority of the kids sit in the dark because 1 or 2 children like to sleep until after 3pm.
7. Not having the tablet playing 24/7. It was on every time I came by and even during the tour but I did not assume it would be constant.
Pros: Small facility. Has the potential to feel like family. The assistant is a gem.

My oldest son started attending Polka Dots at the age of one in 2021 during Covid. Parents weren’t allowed into the building at the time but just from meeting Mrs. Carolyn outside when I inquired about an application put me at ease. She has one of the warmest and friendliest personalities.
My oldest is in pre k now but my 3 year old also attends and he loves it and all of his teachers. Polka dots is family oriented and we’ve felt so welcomed for many years. If my child isn’t in attendance for more than a couple of days I can expect a text like clockwork from the director to make sure everything is ok. The kids are more than just a number there she truly cares for each and every one. If we arrived to drop off and Mrs Carolyn was outside my oldest would run to greet her each time.
Communication is great as well. I’ve never been left in the dark about anything regarding my child while in their care. If he ever gets a bump or bruise I know beforehand or at pick up before I even have a chance to ask. My oldest still loves to come visit when we pick up his brother.
All in all I’ll be sad when my baby boy starts pre k and we leave Polka dots for good. If you’re looking for a child care provider you won’t be disappointed!
