My wife and I have four children that have been cared for by Pooh’s Corner since 2019. Our children have always received excellent care, and the communication from the teachers and directors has always been great.
We live in a time where many (most) businesses struggle to find and retain employees. Pooh’s is no different, but I respect that the directors make decisions that they think are best for our children. Please don’t let some very recent negative reviews deter you from placing your children in their care, as those individuals aren’t being truthful.

I have had/have both of my children in this program since they are 8 weeks old. The staff have been amazing, supportive and have taught my kids many things. My son has required supportive services which they caught, and allowed me for early interventions. My daughter regressed in potty training after a long hospital stay but they were there, patient and supportive, helping get her back on track with advice.
Like every other workplace in today’s world, they have staffing challenges but they have been taking it with grace, and they communicate with families any issues that arise as soon as they are aware! I highly recommend Pooh’s!

We have enrolled both of our children here since they were a few months old. The teachers have been amazing, truly caring about our kids and our family, and the directors have been open and communicative from the start.
Other reviews mention issues with the building, but they’re in a state run building so many things are out of their control, which I’m not sure many people realize. Our children are safe and happy and that’s all we can ask. If we have issues with anything, we bring it up to the teachers or the directors and it’s quickly addressed. We are quite happy with our choice in daycare.

Our daughter has been in the Toddler class for a couple months now and she's always so happy to walk into her classroom. She gets the chance to do so many great activities and the teachers are wonderful. They have an app to keep track of what goes on during the day for your child (food, potty, activities, nap, communication with staff). And there are also family wide events at the center that we can attend, which have been really fun. We can see that she's thriving and doing amazingly well with her development. Would highly recommend Pooh's Corner!

My children have been at Pooh's Corner for 3 years in every one of their 4 classrooms. We've had a wonderful experience there from the administration and teachers alike. My children literally run from my side into their classes in the morning because they are excited and happy to be there in such a supportive and friendly environment.
They communicate the planned holidays, spirit days, celebrations, and center wide events well in advance with a laminated calendar in September and January. We appreciate the communication and like that the program is structured similar to elementary school to give the kids a flavor for the types of school spirit events they will have when they graduate. It's something they do that just sets them a little bit apart from some other programs.
There are unexpected closures due to inclement weather, staffing challenges, and unforeseen circumstances (water main breaks, power outages, etc.). The administration does their best to inform parents as quickly as possible in a professional and compassionate way. They are very strict with their adherence to state regulations and unfortunately that means they have to partially, or fully, close unexpectedly sometimes. While this can be frustrating at times, I have never once worried for the safety of my children while in this program. I have too many friends who have had traumatic experiences with daycares that have resulted in harm to a child and I am so grateful that I have never had to think twice about whether it was safe to leave my kids there.
The teachers are invested and kind when it comes to our children's learning and development. Ms. Amanda, in toddlers, worked with me when my daughter was struggling with learning not to bite. She gave me book recommendations and suggestions for redirection, as well as, talked through the different scenarios for when the incidents were occuring (in addition to the incident reports) so I could better address the core challenges she was having. Ms. Emily is great in this room as well. She's always very energetic and bubbly at the end of the day. She does a great job with the daily pickup communications and my daughter likes her so much that she'll actually let her fix her hair (big praise as this is a daily struggle).
Ms. Jackie, the Pre-K teacher, has taught my son so much in the 2 years he's been in her classroom. His language and math skills have blossomed and I'm very impressed with how much he knows. He can identify all the letters in the alphabet and has moved onto starting to read. He can count to 100, add, and substract and is starting to understand the basics of multiplication. They learned about the life cycle of caterpillars/butterflies this year and they are also working in a small garden. He brought me sunflower sprouts for Mother's Day. It was so thoughtful. She put an art packet together for each of the children that will be moving into Kindergarten this year. We looked through it together and my son talked about every single picture that was included. I was so touched by such a sweet, nice keepsake that she put together. It was truly a wonderful way to mark his tenure in the program.
My last child will be joining the infants room in Fall. It makes the transition back to work much less stressful knowing she will be safe and in a place filled with people who truly care and give their all.
