We have had a very mixed experience with Primrose. When we first enrolled our son as a 2 year old we had nothing but good things to say about both the school and the teachers. All of the teachers have been very kind and good with our son, they’ve asked after him when he was not well, they’ve been consistently attentive to his needs. We love his teachers, Miss Annette and Miss Angel and continue to have the utmost regard for them.
The school administration, however, has become a huge cause for concern. There has been a problematic child in our child’s classroom (2-3yo) who has exhibited escalating violent behavior, including kicking, pushing, hitting and biting. This other child has been hurting our son as well as other children in our son’s classroom. The teachers have been doing what they can to mitigate these instances, including moving the problem child to another classroom and sending the child home for the day, but the school administration has refused to take these escalating violent episodes seriously. We had a meeting with a leadership member of the school earlier this spring and were reassured that they were in the process of addressing this problematic child, and they have been doing so all spring. The issues with this child have been going on for several months and multiple children have been hurt, but the school has refused to take action. Our son has been bitten 3 times by this same problematic child. Again, after the 3rd bite we requested another sit down to talk about next steps. Primrose administration refused to sit down with us to further discuss the problem child. When we suggested that we may withdrawal our son from the school because of their apparent lack of concern for our son’s and other children’s safety, they quickly agreed that should be the course of action and immediately refunded our monthly tuition payment.
Speaking with other parents in our child’s class, we have come to find out that the behaviorally challenged child routinely bites, hits and injures most of the other kids in the class. We found out after we withdrew our son that the week or so before we withdrew our son other parents withdrew their child after the problemed child gave their child a black eye. We know that the teachers have been doing their duty in reporting each incident, but that’s is all the intervention the teachers are allowed aside from separating children when they become too much. Given that multiple other children have been affected by the wayward child on a regular basis, and at least two children have left the school because of these incidents, it’s clear that the administration doesn’t have much regard for the safety and well being of the children enrolled at Primrose.
After all of this, we cannot in any way recommend Primrose. If you have any concern for the safety of your child please look elsewhere because apparently Primrose is not in any way interested or prepared to dismiss a child who regularly hurts others children. They would rather that well behaved children with concerned parents withdrawal than dismiss a child with escalating violent behavioral issues.

This review is for EPS-2 teachers, Ms. Annette and Ms. Angel. These two wonderful teachers made every effort to make my son as welcome and as comfortable in the class. They also shower him with a lot of love that my son looks forward to daycare. He loves them so much that he tells me he misses them when we went on vacation. Childcare is hard work, and Ms. Annette and Ms. Angel does it with big smiles on their faces. I see the other kids give them big hugs as soon as they enter their classroom. You can truly see the love and care Ms. Annette and Ms. Angel gives to their kids. I am so thankful for their continued presence at the school..Ms. Annette and Ms. Angel are the teachers that truly makes Primrose School at Hope Valley Farms a great daycare!

Primrose has done so much for my now 5 yr old son. He went from being super shy and never wanted to come to school until he moved to the Pre-k classroom with Mr. Johnny and Ms. Charnasia. My son adores Mr Johnny and for that I’m very thankful. I just wanted to take this time to thank them both dearly for all they have done for my son. You both will be missed

At this school, we have found a supportive environment for our child’s early education.
The staff is caring and dedicated, building exceptional relationships with the children and their families. The teachers provide strong academic foundation and emphasize the development of social skills, creativity, and emotional growth.
The curriculum is thoughtfully designed, blending structured activities in small groups and free play that encourages children to explore their interests and develop their skills in a supportive setting.
The facilities are safe, clean, and well-maintained, offering a secure environment. The school also implements excellent safety protocols, including regular drills, to ensure the well-being of all students.
Communication between the school and parents is outstanding—close, supportive, and consistent. We receive regular updates on our child's progress and daily activities, which keeps us closely involved in their learning journey.

As a Florida transplant, I was thrilled to see a Primrose close to our new home. We attended Primrose in Florida, and for the hopeful easy transition and ease of transition shock for my 4-year-old, I chose this location. The transition was amazing, similar teaching techniques, my daughter came home exhausted from learning and playing (still does almost a year later). Throughout the year we have encountered numerous home difficulties, we had an apartment fire in our building and were displaced. The school was very helpful and willing to work with me financially to ensure my daughter kept learning and when we moved back into our home that we had everything available for us to continue life. As a single mom who has a rotating shift schedule, they have been an amazing asset to have in my care village. 4 year olds are learning how to cope with life and feelings and I feel they have done a great job in allowing my daughter to express herself as well as keeping her safe and letting me know when there are issues. My daughter has excelled in learning while being here. Their activities throughout the year with parades, bookfairs, and class parties make it easy for parents to be involved with the classroom.
As one who works in a high employee turnover environment (nursing) and used to work at a daycare in teenage years, I completely understand the nature of frequent teacher changes in
the work culture post pandemic. I have never had an ill experience with the teachers they bring in and the ones who have been there majority of our time. My daughter has never mentioned being fearful or unsafe with teachers.
We have only been here a year and will be transitioning to kindergarten soon, but I will surely miss the Primrose family at both Hope Valley and our Florida location. Should any more kiddos come along they will be my first choice in child care!
