Reach Up Head Start

My son had an absolutely beautiful experience here ! I was in tears having him leave his classroom because the special bonds he has created with his teachers over the passed 2years . (Myself & daughter aswell) Honestly don't know where to start . I commend the teachers for the job they are doing , not many have the patience ! I was scared starting out, my son had never been to a daycare or school & he is 3 . Well the moment I met his teacher I loved her . She is kind , she is understanding , she is just all around a beautiful spirit. My son didn’t at all have a hard time adjusting at all, he truly loved his first year of school , made so many friends, learned so many things!! His second year in? Whew no biggy ! He walked in & remembered from the first year how to check in. , put his bag in his cubby & find his name (: . His teachers also always updated me if my son got any mark , rash , bruise or bump, if he wasn't feeling well or if his behavior was off. I do not regret my son going here , if we weren’t leaving the area my daughter would have attended here next school year as-well ! Thank you !

It's been a lovely program throwing deeper understanding on learning about your child, growing and bonding with them. It's really insightful and am always looking forward to my home visits.

My kids absolutely love it at reach up headstart. Communication is great! And so are the staff/teachers! We appreciate you all!

At first I thought this was a great preschool. Everyone was so kind and treated my granddaughter very well. They welcomed hugs and compassion; However that's not how the real world works and now that my granddaughter is in public school she treated like crap because she likes to great everyone and hug them when she sees them. It's heartbreaking,

They kicked my 3 year old out of school because i would drop her off at 920am during some of the school days due to me getting off work at 9am. Wouldn't accommodate her and said I'm messing up her school routine...well kicking her out of school due to a working mom is really messing up her school routine. Refused to work with me to come to an agreement. I don't see how 920 was an issue when school starts at 845. If i didn't work on her school days she was on time. Staff are horrible there. Update: after making a complaint about the staff and about what happened, staff accepted my daughter back and came up with a plan so she can attend school! My daughter was very happy to go back to school.
