We were so lucky to have Rising Sun care for our daughter for over two years. I never had a single issue the entire time she attended, and she absolutely loved it.
As someone who works in HR, I’m very particular about where I entrust my child’s care. On top of that, my mom, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law have all run daycares. So I came in very familiar (and admittedly a little skeptical) about the industry. Rising Sun exceeded every expectation.
The staff are some of the best people I’ve ever met, and the owners are truly top notch. Every staff member seemed to love my daughter as their own. She would literally run into their arms every morning! You can tell they carefully vet their people, and it shows in the warmth and professionalism of the entire team.
I often received photos throughout the day showing all the fun activities, which gave me so much peace of mind. When we moved away, I quite literally SOBBED saying goodbye because this place felt like an extension of our family.
They have recently opened another location, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a safe, caring, and joyful environment for their kids!

My children used to go here. My family has been apart of this center for almost 4 years. I actually considered the management (Ashley) as family friend. Up until recently.
I’m not going to sit and say every teacher in this center is horrible because that is inaccurate. There is teachers that truly care about kids here. However- management doesn’t care about the teachers who don’t have those same morals. They will keep staff who repeatedly verbally assaults children, and who assaults other staff members because they don’t want the confrontation.
I used to think of this center as a second home. That all changed when I started to see the true colors of the management and staff members and how they treated my kids with my own eyes.
My daughter is 1 has a severe dairy allergy and she has been given dairy a total of 4 times by Abby and the older infant teachers and nothing was done. No write ups or consequences. My sons diaper was repeatedly never changed every 2 hours, and sat in his own feces so long when he was 2 that one day it resulted to him being taken into the emergency room and diagnosed with a urinary tract infection. As a parent- I would never recommend this center. I would do your research. Please look somewhere else and save yourself the pain and harassment not only my family went through, by family friends.

Half of the people leaving reviews have never been in or near the building. They are simply leaving harsh reviews because family members asked them to. This is a child center where the children should come first. This is not the place for 16 yr old girls to come and re-update their reviews because they're keeping tabs and want to make sure they can keep adding harsh material. I LOVE this canter, it hosts some amazing children and teachers! I have fond memories working here, but like most places, I also have moments I didn't care for. THAT'S LIFE! I moved onto a career I love, but still plan to have my children involved in this center. There is no other center I've even considered. As soon as we knew we were pregnant, we knew we needed April in the baby room as our caretaker! Do not let these silly reviews take away from the amazing work that is done here! You will not find another diverse, loud, field trip taking, bussing to a million schools at different times, and decent priced center anywhere else. Just take a tour and ask the kids and teachers for yourself! See it with your own eyes... you won't be disappointed!!

I find it very shocking that a stranger is not only leaving reviews on this business but is then continuing to update her review as a way to fight more strangers. Well, I am no employee nor am I stranger to this business. These reviews are absurd! 4 of the comments are from the same household and it is clear family has been reached out to in order to extend their frustrations in a vengeful manner. It's odd to comment on management when for so long the grandmother of the children/angered parents reviewing was a manager. She acted no different than the ones they now accuse and belittle, but was let go for her own actions displayed.
It's also weird to say that your child has a severe dairy allergy, was given dairy 4 times, but then never had to bring her in. But when your other child has diaper rash, he is brought in and diagnosed with UTI? That doesn't quite make sense to me, but then again revengeful fights never do. I believe this was a way to try and escalate a matter only to name a specific teacher. You do not know disciplinary actions of staff after mistakes because that is above your scope. That is why you rely on management, or again in this case, her own mother's judgement of handling the situation. You kept your children here when this all occurred and your mother worked here as a manager during this time.
This is childcare. Children are to be cared for and respected, this center exceeds those expectations. Lesson plans are implemented with proof of happy children all over the public Facebook page. They win center of the year based on a community vote nearly every year in which the parents participate. They offer scholarships/grants to those who may not afford additional schooling otherwise. Management includes events for the hardworking staff and caters to them often. Needs can be met here with good communication. This is a lovely place for staff and for children, especially when staff avoids the unnecessary drama. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

I had grandkids here at Rising Sun ( and notice the word had), so I personally know and have seen what I'm talking about. Very Very incompetent ownership and Very incompetent staff. The majority of staff has little to no formal childhood education, let alone a degree. Ownership takes no responsibility for the incorrect actions of their "teachers" upon the children there. Ownership will just try and 'sweep it under the rug' and hope nothing happens. Management LIES to you and spins into their favor no matter what the circumstance. I'm sure there are a few good employees there who are trying to do the right thing and take care of these kids and actually trying to do great work with these kids, props to you, but Management is horrible there and overall I would give this place ZERO stars if I had the option.
