Sandbox Daycare of Danbury

My children have been enrolled at The Sandbox Daycare for the past six years. We discovered The Sandbox when we first moved to Connecticut and didn't know anyone. I was a new mom searching for a place for my 9-week-old son. From my first visit, I was immediately comforted by the welcoming environment. It was clear that the children were happy and well cared for, with engaging art projects and photographs displayed on the walls, accompanied by the joyful sounds of children playing and engaging in daily activities. The teacher in the infant room, Miss Tammi, made me feel welcome and was patient in answering all of my questions. I couldn't help but be charmed by the adorable infant art projects showcased around the room. My son started in the infant program and continued through the toddler and preschool programs. Every morning, it warmed my heart to see him greet drop-off with a big smile, showing me he felt safe and right at home. The staff at The Sandbox are dedicated, caring, and attentive. It has always been a relief to leave for work knowing my child is in capable hands. I appreciate the small community feel of the daycare because everyone knows each other well, which fosters a warm, family-like atmosphere for the children. The teachers do a wonderful job of maintaining daily communication with parents and supporting children in developing essential skills. By the time my son graduated from preschool, he felt confident and well-prepared for Kindergarten. I also think the tuition is affordable compared to other daycare centers in the area. We now have a second child enrolled in the infant room, and my older son still looks forward to returning each day to see his teachers, who played an important role in his life for many years. I am glad that we chose The Sandbox as our childcare provider.

We had a terrible experience at a home daycare when my son was 6 months old so naturally we were hesitant to trust anyone else with him, but as most households both my husband and I have to work so we needed to find a place. Sandbox had an opening in their infant room so we went on a tour and the teacher was so warm and welcoming and my son was comfortable with her right away. So we decided to start with them going two days a week and he adjusted so well. He is now in the toddler room there and the head teacher over there is also warm and welcoming he runs to give her a hug at drop off. It’s hard to trust someone with your kids but sandbox has never given us a reason not to trust them! The one time I ran into an issue with a staff member the director took care of it right away and called me personally which was so kind. My son loves going to daycare the two days a week that he goes! He’s well taken care of and happy when I pick him up after work and as a mom that’s all you can hope for! We would recommended sandbox to anyone looking for a place to send their kids! 😊

For the past year our son has been enrolled at Sandbox Daycare. Initially we were cautious and worried about our son’s transition but I must say the Director and staff were more than welcoming and understanding. We have watched our son flourish and grow developmentally. Fellow Parents, if you are looking for a place where you want your child to feel loved, cared for and nurtured do not look any further. At Sandbox Daycare, the staff will keep you abreast in real time regarding your child’s needs and even give suggestions along the way that will enhance their developmental milestones. Trust me, your child will be in great hands and you will receive the reassurance you need. I'd like to start off by saying I love Sandbox Daycare. I have had 4 children attend Sandbox. I've been going for years now. The staff there is simply AMAZING! What I love most is that the same staff has been there for years, which is great because it makes it easy for the children who attend to build familiarity. My youngest son has XYY syndrome which can cause developmental delays. One that we came across was speech. I say this because I want everyone to know that Sandbox staff is very attentive and supportive of this. My son has grown a close bond with Miss Juana and she has helped him thrive, and because of this he has come a long way. When I arrive with my son, he is always so happy, he runs to the door ready to learn and play. That in itself speaks volumes. Miss Kathy (who runs Sandbox) is a wonderful woman with such a beautiful heart. Kathy and her staff love all of these children and take care of each and every one like they treat their own. I could go on and on about all of the amazing things about Sandbox, but if I did that, it would be like reading a book. They say it takes a village to raise a child, Sandbox is my village! I'm blessed to have them be a part of all of my children's lives. Sandbox is not only "just a daycare" they have become family. Keep up the great work Kathy ❤️

Communication with the daycare is excellent. I receive regular updates on my child’s progress, and the staff is always available to address any questions or concerns I may have. Have enjoyed and trusted the staff here.
