We just moved and had to leave Shining Stars but we had our son there for almost 1.5 years. We absolutely loved the daycare and our son loved going to “school” every day. The teachers and the director were all amazing and you could tell they deeply cared about all the kids in their care.

My daughter had a wonderful experience in the "transition" room for 1-1/2 year olds. As soon as she moved to the 2 year old classroom, she had behavioral changes and seemed scared of the teachers. After just a few weeks in the new class with different staff, she came home with a bruise and mark on her arm where long nails had dug into her forearm. When asking the principal about this, Mrs. Jermonica immediately dismissed the allegations. She refused to review the cameras inside the classroom to see what had happened and gave a snarky remark that we should leave the school if we were not happy, stating what a "long waiting list" there is to go to this school. They also do not have a 5-star certification, which raised a red flag. We should have trusted our gut when meeting with the principal, who is rude and patronizing. It was also a red flag that staff turnover was SO high, and whenever a new teacher began, we never received notice or any note as to who would be caring for the children. We strongly advise against putting your little ones into this school.
