We’ve had such a great experience with KinderCare! The teachers are warm, attentive, and really seem to care about the kids. My son was having a tough time adjusting to daycare at first, but his teacher was so patient with him and took the time to ease his transition. Now, he loves going there and doesn't want to go home.

We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Redwood Shores KinderCare. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were greeted by warm, welcoming staff who clearly love what they do. The entire team from the director to the teachers and support staff goes above and beyond to create a nurturing, safe, and enriching environment for every child.
The teachers are the heart of this center. They are not only incredibly kind and patient, but also highly skilled in early childhood education. You can see their passion in the thoughtful curriculum, creative activities, and the way they interact with each child. Our child has blossomed socially and academically since starting here, and it’s been amazing to watch their confidence and curiosity grow every day. Shout out to Ms. Deanna, she is a true gem.

I can't say enough good things about KinderCare Shores! My kids started attending in the summer of 2023, at 8 months old and 2.5 years old. The infant room teachers are phenomenal! All the teachers are loving and caring, and it's amazing to see how virtually all the teachers at the center know my kids by name. Both the director, Lisa, and the assistant directors, Deanna and Diana, are incredibly open and friendly. Communication is excellent.
I love that the center is open for parents to come inside at any time, which was not the case at our previous daycare. Additionally, they do not close for vacations, only for official holidays, which is a huge help for working parents. They manage this by having rotating (extra) teachers to help out. During traditional vacation periods, such as Thanksgiving week or the week of the 4th of July, they ask parents to inform them if their child will be attending so they can give teachers some time off based on the number of children attending.
Another thing I love is their sick policy: children must be symptom-free for 24 hours, but the staff is open to discussing cases individually. They understand that parents need to work and don't send children home unless it's really necessary for their well-being and the safety of the other kids. As a result, my kids were sent home only a couple of times each over the year, which is a significant improvement compared to our previous daycare.
They also offer healthy snacks and milk included in the tuition, so all I have to pack every day is lunch. Additionally, the fact that kids, even the infants, get to play outside twice a day is fantastic in my opinion.
Overall, we love this center. It has made a significant difference for our family to have our kids enrolled here. We couldn't be happier with the care and attention they receive at KinderCare Shores.

Both my kids have gone to this daycare since they were infants. Though management changed after KinderCare acquired this location, I believe it was for the better. The Director level staff is very courteous and friendly, and super professional. I have not had a chance to closely know the teachers due to the pandemic, but they seem sweet and student focused. My son seems to be learning a lot and is being accommodated with toilet training needs. The precautions and procedures put in place for COVID-19 were solid and with minimal inconvenience to parents.

I would say that yes this place is a great establishment, nice facility with friendly staff and teachers, and super structured. However I would strongly not recommend it for young newborns, or until your little ones are mobile or at least able to crawl and sit up on their own. I sent my girl when she was 3 mo and it was super nice at first. The teachers are flexible and will try to accommodate their needs. But when it comes down to it, it’s really hard for them to carry on their duties consistently because the 1:4 ratio for newborns this young does not work with a facility this big. The cribs are in the same room/classroom. Teachers go in and out from breaks, make shift changes, have days to call in sick, etc and the managers will shuffle things around to maintain the class. The front desk staff would fill in or some filler teacher would. They have to catch up on rotations and find out what’s going on as they go. There’s lots of adult talking noises, radios, and door slamming all day. There would also be days when the other classroom is combined with the non-mobile classroom due to staff shortage or small class size. Now you’re dealing with walking and active toddlers all over your defenseless little one. They also have activities they say they do daily, but in reality with all this going on there’s only so much they can squeeze the developmental stuff in. Don’t get me wrong I still like the teachers. They are super nice and friendly. But the set up does not allow them to be successful. My honest opinion.
