Skipwith Academy at Huguenot

We were at Skipwith for over a year in the infant rooms and truly had a wonderful experience. We would send our child there again in a heartbeat. The only reason we are leaving Skipwith is due to an out-of-state move. We will miss them so much - the staff is so kind and sweet and really made us feel at home. I always felt so good about leaving my child in their care.

Asheli and the entire staff is amazing. Our son walks into the building and is greeted, by name, from staff members and he runs for hugs and to tell them what he did over the weekend. Those genuine connections show the level of care that is given. My family and I also had a blast at the Halloween trunk or treat event…. The music, popcorn, pumpkin contest, light up foam wands … I can’t say enough. We are grateful for this program.

I can't say enough about how much we love Skipwith - especially the teachers, who love on my little one so much every day. The teachers really are the heart of the school and give the children all the attention they need. Skipwith at Huguenot as everything you'd expect in a daycare/preschool - nice facilities, provided meals, dedicated care. But they go above and beyond by also planning school activities and events. I've had three children attend Skipwith at various times (infant care, preschool, before & after school care and their summer program) and have not had any complaints. I highly recommend!

Skipwith Academy at Huguenot was our family's first experience with daycare and they were great! Our infant daughter was in the care for only a few months, but she thrived when she was there! They communicated with us frequently, and sent pictures and updates about her activities throughout the day. Everyone - not just her teachers - knew her name and greeted us when we arrived in the morning. We left simply because a spot in a center closer to us opened up, but we were very sad to leave and we miss the teachers! Highly recommend.

No other daycare in the Richmond/Tri-Cities area should even be considered. And, as a current father of 7, I know a bit about what I'm speaking on. lol. But in all seriousness, give them a call, set up a tour, and you will not be disappointed. That's all it took for my family. Meet the ever-caring staff, observe how they operate (beautifully: the kids LOVE them), and you'll soon be writing a review similar to mine. 5 stars all the way.
