Love this place! I’ve been taking my kid since he was 4 months. Not only have the workers treated him so good but also made us both feel like family. Whenever I voice my concerns they listen the first time and fix the issue. My family has been coming to Kindercare for three generations now! I definitely recommend!!

I had my 2 year old go here and let me just say it was the biggest mistake of my life. I can’t tell you how many on going issues I had with this place not only the teachers but the head people. Linda was nice and always tried to help but the one named nisha i believe that’s you spell it was awful. She tried to always weasel money out of me any chance she got. Linda always corrected it. Now for their care. My son has a dairy allergy and they constantly gave him DAIRY! His teachers told me they didn’t get his paperwork until three days later after him being enrolled, but even with them having his paperwork, they still gave him dairy products. Then there would be multiple incidents where they would give me updates and send pictures of the wrong kid and when I went to go talk to Nisha about it, she said will you sign the contract saying it was OK to have other kids in the picture and I said it’s different when it’s other kids in the background with my son being in the picture, but these are completely different kids that aren’t even in his class full-blown pictures and updates on someone else’s child, that’s uncomfortable and the fact any teacher is able to see and log into another child profile is unsettling as well. That just means no one is paying attention to the actual child itself. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve went in unannounced and there’s been teachers screaming at children or not even paying attention while multiple children are crying personally I regret bringing my son here. I hope you don’t bring your child here thank you for your time.

I wanted to take the time to get on and write a review because I know how important it is (good or bad) for a business, but especially for parents searching for childcare. My son attended the South hill location for about two years. I was extremely satisfied in the beginning and recommended a few friends here. However, that has quickly changed, and I just changed childcare locations. The biggest driving factor away from this facility was the assistant director, Nisha. I'm surprised there is not more reviews calling her out. It is clear that she is focused more on the money coming into the facility then how the facility is run or how her employees are treated. On my sons last day, I asked Nisha how I could get a $125 refund for the ADDITIONAL summer tuition fee (on top of paying the normal tuition rate) since he was leaving on June 6th (not even halfway into the first month of summer) and she told me she would not be refunding our money without any explanation. When asked what the additional summer tuition covered, she shared it was for any additional activities they were doing in the summer. Since my son was no longer going to be there during the summer, I felt it was only fair to have my money returned. Also, instead of Nisha taking the time to give a warm goodbye to my son, she cornered me asking if I gave a two-week written notice to avoid being charged an additional amount for leaving early on in the month. This was after the tuition for the entire month was ALREADY paid including the additional summer fee totaling $1575.00. She wanted to find a way to charge me an additional amount for changing childcare locations. I had informed Nisha that I already gave notice to the director, and she stated that there was a lack of communication between them. Nisha attitude and her lack of care for the children themselves is seen through how she treats the parents and employees. Over the last six months, my son had numerous teachers in and out of his room due to the turnover rate. The new teachers that were coming in as new employees would not introduce themselves and would have to ask my son's name. It was clear that he had become just another body to them without any meaningful connection. KinderCare is not a cheap facility. With the prices, I would expect their apps to be updated frequently and a good parent, child and teacher relationship being formed. This facility needs some serious change. A once good place has gone completely downhill. The two employees I want to give a huge shout out too is the main director Lynda and preschool teacher Tivi. They are the two people that held us there the last six months with hopes that things would get better.

I tried to sign up my youngest daughter at South Hill Kindercare for full-time care and my oldest daughter for part-time care. I signed some forms online to start the enrollment process for both kids but never paid a down payment. They didn't have any availability for a while, so when a spot opened up at another daycare, I accepted and enrolled there instead. I called to cancel at South Hill Kindercare and initially there was no problem. Weeks later, I get a phone call saying that my daughter's were going to be starting at South Hill Kindercare and that I owed 2 weeks of care for each child. I said I had called to cancel weeks ago and wasn't sure why I was still in the system. They told me I would still need to pay regardless. I told them I never paid the downpayment so the forms I signed weren't executed. Still they asked me to pay. It wasn't until I suggested getting lawyers involved that they finally backed off. Know your rights and be careful sending your money here!

Short version: We couldn't have asked for a better daycare! Absolutely wonderful! Super friendly, clean, and they truly care! Long version: The Fairchild daycare didn't have a spot available for our son, so we had to look off-base. LUCKILY I learned about the Child Care Aware of America subsidy program and found Kinder Care South Hill was already pre-approved for that program! AT THE TIME it seemed like a last resort option. It was a far drive from base, we didn't know anyone else who had gone to this daycare, and we're not from here! BUT the staff there were so great with our son and treated him as one of their own. We were lucky to have them for the six months my son attended before getting a spot at the on-base daycare. (My son started at 12 weeks old, and we left when he was about 9 months old). Huge shout out to Michelle, Melissa, Molly, Amara, Jenna, Cara, Penny and I know I'm missing a few! You guys made us feel at home and we never had to worry about our little guy; you took such great care of him!
