Wonderful, and well-run facility. Bilingual staff is terrific. Director has everything under control and her priorities in order. "Grandparent" volunteer participation is great. Love this place and have only three complaints. First, when the director is out of town, the Center feels it as things don't run as well. Second, the area of town where the center is located scares me because of the crime associated with the lower east side of Erie. I worry about the children on walks. Third, the school takes too many days off. The amount of tuition is high and I believe it is unreasonable to be forced to find alternative care for the several teacher planning days the center schedules. Even worse, the center found it necessary to close a few days this year because they believed it was "too cold to open the day care because you shouldn't be taking your child out in the cold". That is hard to explain to an employer. It is suggested that the decision not to take the child out should be made by the parent - not by the day care facility.
