Starr King Parent-Child Workshop

I attended Starr King for preschool when I was a child and have countless positive memories, from making mud pies in the sandbox to riding tricycles, performing in the Snow White play, and playing with hamsters. I made lifelong friends there, which is why I enrolled my son earlier this year. He absolutely loves it! The campus is fantastic, with indoor and outdoor play areas, water features, an arts & crafts gazebo, tricycles, slides, a sandbox, a zipline, and a great play structure. Every day, my son comes home with stories of his adventures and friends. Starr King boasts a diverse community of families, an incredible teaching staff, a wonderful library, and a focus on play-based learning. It’s a parent-child workshop, requiring one parent from each family to volunteer 4 hours weekly and attend a 2-hour child development class. It’s a significant commitment, to be sure, but the value we get in return is immense. We see our son thrive, learn how to raise him better, and have made wonderful friends with other parents. Starr King is the best!

The best early childhood program in existence (seriously). My 4 year old daughter is having the time of her life, and the ongoing support and education for parents is truly top notch: It's transforming my relationship with my child, and helping me grow into the kind of mom I always wanted to be. Affordability in comparison with other local private options is another plus. I'm so grateful to have found this community.

An amazing experience for both children and parents. Both of our kiddos have thrived in this nurturing environment. They look forward to every Monday morning when they get to go back to Starr King - "Is tomorrow a Starr King Day??" - They ask eagerly. We have all grown and learned together, through the parent education program, shared experiences, and lasting friendships that we have built with other families. It's an incredible community to be a part of and we feel very lucky to have found this magical place. It's so much more than just a pre-school - It's an enriching experience for the entire family. We love Starr King!

I just started this year at Starr King with my 2.5 yr old daughter. She loves it! So many different activities for her to take part in and learn from by way of play. She has tons of energy and absolutely loves to go which was not the case with other places. The staff are great and there is a real sense of community and care.

Incredible preschool for children to learn and play. Wonderful and highly experienced staff. Diverse and involved community of families that are focused on the growth and well being of their children. We love Starr King!
