🏅 What Sets This Daycare Apart:

While Step Into Learning's website highlights a commitment to nurturing care, multiple concerning reviews indicate a pattern of neglect, inadequate supervision, and questionable practices that contradict their stated mission.

YOU NEED TO READ THIS. My 10 week old attended for 2 days because of what me and my husband saw at pick up each time. Day 1, our son was laying on the floor, propped up on a breastfeeding pillow with milk flowing down the side of face because the girl wasn't paying any attention. Day 2, our son was laying on the floor propped up on a breastfeeding pillow with his head off the edge, PUDDLES OF SPIT UP ON EACH SIDE OF HIM, SCREAMING while his teacher paid him no mind. I told her I was there to get him. This teacher is like 300lbs- leans down and about topples over him while going to pick him off the floor. SHE DIDN'T SUPPORT HIS HEAD/NECK AND HIS HEAD JUST SNAPPED BACKWARD FROM HER YANKING HIM UP. If this is how they treat our child in front of us, how on earth is he being treated when we're not around?? Our son will NEVER be attending Step Into Learning again.

I thought everything was great and they were gonna give my son a chance his first week there they told me to get him check for autism and he might need a aid because of the way he reacts/acts about certain things . I took that in and was gonna schedule him an appointment so I could be referred to a specialist that knows more about autism. On his 5th day back at the daycare they let me know they were no longer able to help out my son and didn’t give me time to even get him a aid or to get him checked for autism. They would text me on the brightwheel app stating that my son is acting out but as soon as I would text them they wouldn’t reply back . I’ve been messaging them to get some help on getting my $75 refund back but they keep ignoring me . Very unprofessional about how they went about multiple things . My BIGGEST concern is how are you gonna tell someone their kid might be autistic then literally that Monday they return kick the kid out and not allow them to get the help that they need . And all his teacher kept saying is “ my son “ this “ my son “ that but I bet they gave hers a chance . Btw I didn’t get my $75 back and it’s now a credit on the app so it will be sitting there for nothing.

Choosing Step Into Learning Childcare for my family was one of the best decisions I've made. The nurturing environment, engaging activities, and dedicated staff, particularly Mrs. DeAnna, have exceeded my expectations. Mrs. DeAnna's passion for childcare shines through in every interaction both with the children and parents, along with her exceptional care and commitment to the children’s development. I couldn't be more grateful for the positive impact she's had on Step Into Learning.

So very unimpressed with this facility. My three year old son made it less than 2 months before he was kicked out. We searched long and hard for a suitable daycare for our son. Step Into Learning was close by, in our price range and checked most of the boxes. Little did we know that within just a couple months, our once happy son would change. Within a few weeks of attending Step Into Learning, we received a message on Brightwheel, the application the center uses to communicate, that our son had been bitten multiple times. Thirty minutes later, he’d been bitten again. Within the next two weeks my son would be bitten on six different occasions, multiple times, by multiple children, in multiple classrooms. The treatment for his bites was a cold rag. They didn’t even clean his wounds. They also victim-blamed my son for getting bitten. Two weeks after this my son began acting out- throwing toys, hitting the teachers, etc… Not only are the classes too large for one individual teacher (1 teacher for 12 toddlers), but I had to sign a medical waiver for his teacher to put sunscreen on my very fair-skinned child. When I went to pick up his stuff, his sunscreen bottle was full. His teacher couldn’t even be bothered to use it. The food they serve looks like the food used to feed prisoners in jail. Cheap oyster crackers and sugary juice. With all the money they’re making, they can afford some healthier choices for our children. This is not my child’s first foray into childcare. He spent 8 months at Harbison, with only three incidents over that course of time. They had a 3-8 class ratio, teachers to students. They applied sunscreen to all the children every day before outside play. They cared. I do not recommend Step Into Learning. If you can afford it, find a center with a lower ratio. Harbison is and was amazing. Tony Reyes bilingual center was an amazing facility with home cooked food and cultural immersion.
