SUN&MOON Daycare

This daycare is awesome! The teachers are very nice and professional. My son has had great experience in this daycare. My son was shy and did not enjoy playing with other kids before coming to this daycare, but after one or two weeks in this daycare, he loves playing with other kids and sharing things with other people. He changed so much in the good way. There are many good things I want to talk about this daycare. I feel very blessed that I chose here for my son to spend his days.

This daycare opened in our neighborhood and it's been a godsend so far. (1+ month). Facility- The house was remodeled to be a daycare center and the main playroom and backyard look really safe. They've got tons of play structures and learning tools. They also take a trip to the park every day. Owner- Caroline and her helpers seem both well-organized and loving. We feel good about dropping our son (7 months) off with her, because they seem so genuinely excited to see the kids each day. Caroline gives us really sweet daily reports things about his behavior/physical health and ask questions/make recommendations. I feel like they really care about the kids' well-being. I think other parents feel the same way (e.g. a mom stopped me outside the daycare to recommend it when we were touring it) IMPORTANT: The teachers communicate with the kids mostly in Mandarin, despite none of the kids being native-Mandarin speakers (as far as I know). We weren't looking for Mandarin-speaking daycare (we were looking for Spanish), but we figure that there are some benefits to bilingual immersion in any case. I love the small size of the daycare for now (it's not at full capacity yet ), but Caroline does such a good job with my son, that I wanted to recommend it to others. PROS: -loving, organized owners -great child/teacher ratio -spotless, nice facility (plus daily trips to the park) -new business= good child/teacher ratios and availability PRO/CONS: -Mandarin-speaking

My kid went here. We were very happy about the experience. Teachers are caring and loving, food are delicious and nutritious. They have garden in the yard and show kids how plants change over seasons, very creative toys, big yard with play structures for plenty of outdoor time. Highly recommended! We still come back visiting now and then and I’m glad my kid had a happy time there.

Awesome daycare! Teachers are professional and full of love that comes from the bottom of their hearts. You can easily tell that love for kids is real. My kids had such a great time there! Also they make delicious lunch that even the most picky eaters will love.

I wish I could give 6-star! I feel so lucky to find Sun & Moon Family Daycare. We moved to the bay area three months ago. The biggest headache for me is not finding an apartment, nor the new job. It's to find a good daycare for my two-year old son. As a worried mom, I don't easily trust any daycare who will take care of my baby. So I spent several days and checked up to 10 daycares before making a decision. I feel so lucky that I sent my son to Ms. Sun's daycare and I can't express how much I appreciate Ms. Sun's work. To be specific: * The most important thing for me: great great teachers with love and patience to the kids. Everyday I sent my son there and I'm assured that my baby will be taken good care of. I'm feeling that I'm sending my son to a family member who will help me take care of my son. My son is happy to stay there. He would say "ByeBye" to me happily and go to play everyday I send him there. He says "Ms. Sun, I love you" a lot. I also heard some of the kids even calling Mrs. Sun "mommy". All the kids in the daycare looks very happy. * Great Environment. Clean, large and bright classroom, dinning room, and large playground with lots of toys. The playground is paved with wood which is very safe for the kids. * Good teacher-student ratio. There are 3 teachers and each child will get a lot of attention. * Great food, fruit and snacks. Mrs. Sun cooks great and healthy food and almost all of them are organic. I connect with Mrs. Sun through social networking, and I can see what my son has eaten for the lunch and snacks everyday. My son eats much more there than what he eats at home :) * Learning and playing. Great progress for my son since he joined the daycare. Bilingual: English and Chinese. A lot of art, music. They also teach the children to be independent. My son can wear his socks and shoes by himself. * Detailed daily report everyday so you could know very clear how was the day for your baby. * Ms.Sun is so nice and warm-hearted. She is just like an old friend there. * She also gets a lot of prizes for her outstanding contributions in this area. Well-deserved!
