Sunshine House of Columbia at Decker Boulevard

My child has been going here for 2 years and she loves it. And she is not easily pleased! She actually gets excited to go to "school" and while it is a daycare, they have taught her so much from sign language to colors, counting and her ABC's. She loves all her teachers and always has to give Mrs. Lakeesha a hug before she leaves. She started in the infant room they have all watched her grow into the sassy toddler that she is today! The best part is that she is loved so much and its obvious. Every parent trusts that their child will be loved and cared for and safe and I know mine is. I appreciate all of the staff here for taking such good care of my baby!

Worst daycare ever. They are always out of ratio. One teacher to 12 kids. They always closing a class because there are no teachers, and you have to find somewhere for your children to go because of it. Teachers are on there phones when in class suppose to be watching the kids. The director they have now LaKeeash Watkins has a really bad attitude. One minute she's e nice, then when you don't answer her the way she wants you to she turns on you with an attitude. Plenty of staff have quite over the years becauae of the lack of help in the classroom. My child went there for about 6 months and she never came home with anything they did in class. If you want your child to learn things then don't take them to the Sunshine house, corporate office needs to do surprise visit to really see what's going on.

For a few years now me and my family has been begging for Ms. Lakisha to be director. And Ms. Kiara to be the assistant director. Between them two alone has made our time at the sunshine house on Decker Blvd easier. We can work knowing that our children are being picked up on time. Updates regularly, ouch moments posted and a call regarding immediately after. As soon as you walk in a report is handed to you. I feel safer knowing my children are being cared for properly. If it makes a difference. Please put them two up front of the sunshine house. Much appreciated. Stroud Family.

My son has been attending for almost a year now and we love it! Staff and management are super friendly and truly love their students. They were very patient with my child when he was adjusting to the new environment and moving up to a new class and I was extremely grateful for that. I know my child is in great hands here.

Ms. Lakeesha and the staff are great with my twins. They are organized and professional, and have made a great impact in their learning. I would highly recommend this center.
