Super Munchkins Academy

My husband and I absolutely love Super Munchkins—and so does our son! We’ve been part of the daycare for almost a year and a half, ever since our son was just 7 months old. From day one, the love, attention, and genuine care the teachers give each child has been nothing short of amazing. Although Super Munchkins is a home-based daycare, the backyard has been remodeled into a mini playground where the kids can safely play and explore. The indoor space is always clean, well-organized, and maintained with a strict hygiene routine and policies that help minimize the spread of illness—something we truly value as parents. We also really appreciate the thoughtful structure, daily routines, and engaging curriculum. Each week, the children explore new themes while learning letters and numbers, and they have plenty of outdoor time—including trips to the nearby library sometimes. We couldn’t be happier with our experience and are so grateful to be part of the SMA family!

My husband and I are absolutely delighted with this daycare! The teachers, Michael, Romaria, and Lili, are truly special—attentive, caring, and always ready to provide the best for the children. The daycare's facilities are excellent, safe, and well-organized, which gives us great peace of mind. Moreover, they conduct educational activities daily, which has significantly contributed to our son's development. We can see his progress since he started attending. A feature we really appreciate is how we can follow our son's daily activities through photos sent to us constantly, making us feel a part of each special moment. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to any family looking for a loving and caring environment for their children.

SUPER MUNCHKINS IS THE BEST! My husband and I had a hard time deciding where to send our son after my mother was leaving the area and would no longer be able to assist with daytime care duties. We looked at multiple facilities, but felt right at home when we toured Super Munckins Academy. The teachers Michael, Romaria, and Liliane are all very kind and caring. I have seen them treat all the children as if they are family. My son has always been excited at drop off, relieving a lot of anxiety when we first started daycare and every day after. I always know that he is in good hands and am never stressed or worried during the day. Every time we pick him up he is smiling ear to ear. They provide frequent status updates and photos throughout the day which is much appreciated. They also utilize baby sign language as well which really helped foster our son's communication skills. In addition to this they taught my son to say please/thank you before 18 months which, I will tell you, is the cutest thing ever. They also incorporate Spanish and Portuguese into their lessons and my son has even learned a few words! They do daily teaching activities and go to the park as well. They get a lot of outdoor play as well which my son loves. They are able to accommodate special requests as well (ie early nap time if needed based on appointments). Both my husband and I work 8-5 most days so we were worried about finding a place that could accommodate our work hours. Michael worked with our schedule and was able to plan early drop off/pick up for us which was much appreciated! They even are able to provide weekend care with advanced notice if one of the teachers are available.

My son has been going to Super Munchkins Academy for almost 3 years now. Teachers Michael, Romaria, and Lili are all very caring and attentive, and we completely trust them with the care and development of our son. We love that the staff stays consistent (little/no turnover). Structure of the day: Drop off begins at 8am, and there is flexibility. The first things the kids do are potty and wash hands. Then they start working on name tracing, worksheets, and creative projects. They have some free play time afterwards and also learn to help clean up the toys. Then, the teachers lead the children with songs, stories, and posters during circle time. The facility offers a morning snack, and then they take the kids to a nearby playground for outside play. We love that the kids get to play outside every day (weather permitting). Sometimes, they also take the kids to the nearby library for storytime. Parents need to pack a lunch, but the teachers will help heat it up. After lunch is naptime from around 1-3PM. After nap, the facility provides an afternoon snack (fruit, crackers etc) and lets the kids play outside in the backyard. The backyard is amazing! There are so many great play structures and toys for the kids to enjoy. It's one of the factors that made us choose Super Munchkin's in the first place. Pick up is at 5PM. They use the Brightwheel app, and post multiple photos during the day of what the kids are doing. They also document snack/mealtimes, as well as diaper changes/potty. We love the frequent communication and feel like we are a part of our son's day. The facility is extremely clean. The teachers are always wiping surfaces down with Lysol and keeping the place spotless. When kids are sick, they need to wear masks to prevent the spread of germs. We appreciated that they kept strict face mask policies during the pandemic. We love Super Munchkins and would highly recommend them to others! It is great from infants up to TK/kindergarten age. My son started at 18 months and has really developed great social, emotional, and cognitive skills. We plan on sending our daughter there as well.

My second child recently graduated from this school. It was bittersweet as he has been under Mike and his team's care since he was barely 2. Their team here has been our life partner on raising our 2 boys for many years. Our greatest appreciation to all of the staff who has brought so much excitement not only to our boys but their friends as well. My sons never missed any milestones and was accessed as kindergarten to ready after they graduated from SMA. They are both attending private school and was not intimidated by this transition. To this day my children still talks about their circle time and sings the song they have learned from this place. We are forever grateful for their love, support and attentiveness to kids' needs. And even though their pricing is very reasonable, the cost we have spent here is by far our best if not our favorite investment. This place deserve more than 5 stars! We highly recommend them.
