Talita’s Daycare

My child had been at Talita’s daycare for almost 1.5 years, it was the only care facility she had attended. The caretakers all loved her, and so did the other children. In early 2025 I started receiving passive aggressive messages from the owner regarding my child hitting and biting other children. I apologized to the owner as well as other parents, and asked for guidance and help regarding this behavior. I received little to no feedback from Talita. Two months after this started, I was forwarded a message from a concerned parent. Talita had never sent an incident report regarding the matter (or any other matter) and I apologized for my child’s behavior. The next week my spouse asked to speak with Talita in person in wanting to best support our child and understand why she is exhibiting this behavior at daycare as we had not witnessed this at home or in other settings. Talita ignored our multiple requests to meet and instead sent us a text message saying we had two weeks to find alternate care. While we were devastated for our child, we chose to immediately remove her from the unsafe environment she was in. The week prior, we observed her verbally admonish herself in a manner and tone that is reflective of an adult, repeating things she was likely hearing from Talita and the other care takers. We were furious. The well being of children is not a priority at this daycare. Children need routines and consistency. The staff turn over at a high rate. Two year olds hit and bite, this behavior is normal and a part of their development. Do not send your child here. Talita also goes missing weeks on end in the summer. We had tried to see her in person and she gave us the run around. Her caretakers would tell us she wasn’t there which is a clear violation of her license. When we would send her text messages the responses we received aligned with a time zone in Brazil.

The best daycare I could have found for my son. The girls are amazing, and my son loves them (he is smitten with Talita). They engage in activities and stimulate my child, as well as providing healthy meals. I really love this place.

Talitha and her team took care of my daughter for almost 2 years prior to preschool. I am so grateful for their help as many other places take too much time off which is hard for working parents. My daughter was always happy to go to Talitha’s, she ate well and was well cared for and loved.

This is the best place to leave your child. My daughter loves this place. She wakes up anxious and wants to go to daycare every single day, often when Saturday arrives, Lolo says I want to go to Auntie's.
