The Goddard School of Alexandria (Old Town)

We have been at The Goddard School of Alexandria Old Town location and are overall very happy to have our kids attend there. The friendly environment from the staff is welcoming. I greatly appreciate how sweet they are with our kids every day going in and picking them up. The teachers have been helpful in the beginning to help with potty training and getting them to transition into the next class. Their teachers Ms. Shawn and Ms. Daniella are so kind to our kids and give an updated report on their day as well as give an update on their progression. I highly recommend sending your kid(s) here, you won’t be disappointed.

We could not ask for a better daycare center! The directors and teachers are friendly, communicative, and transparent. They made our infant’s transition to daycare as smooth as possible. The facilities are new, the programs are enriching, and the atmosphere is nurturing. Highly recommended!

We met the Owners, Principal, and Director of Development even before they finished building the school. They answered all of our questions, and, as an expectant first time mom, taught about the questions I should be asking when looking at schools for our baby. Since starting, they have been amazing and supportive. They make you feel like family. My son loves his infant teachers. I agree with another parent's post - wish we could keep the same teachers for all of his years there but know that the older classroom teachers will be just as wonderful.

“Good morning!!” These words, spoken with excitement and care by Miss Shawn every morning, always causes my daughter’s face to light up. Regardless of how my daughter’s morning has gone, or Miss Shawn’s, the ritual of the morning greeting is a moment of connection , happiness, and hope for a fun day to come. It amazes me how much energy Miss Shawn has every. Single. Day. And how much care she takes with each child in her class. She truly notices the little things because she knows her students so well as individuals. I’ve truly never come across someone with such a large heart, and unlimited amount of energy and care. When we are not in school, our daughter is always talking about things that excite her, followed with, “I’ll have to tell Miss Shawn about this!” It’s clear how much our daughter adores her, and it’s clear from our interactions how special of a person she is. She truly has a gift and we are infinitely grateful to Goddard for connecting her to us. Thank you Goddard, and thank you Ms Shawn!!

My son went to this Gaddard school for about 2 weeks now. Great experience so far, classrooms are well- organized, you can tell there is a system in place. Center management team are all very hands on with children.
